My fiancé and I had an existing trip planned to Hawaii, and about 3 weeks before the trip we had an idea to get our engagement photos done while we were out there. Mark was quick to respond to our last minute inquiry and was a pleasure to work with! Truly an awesome person and talented photographer. I’m so grateful he was available and the pictures he captured were stunning! He gave us a few options of locations/scenes to do our shoot at, and gave advice to do’s and don’ts with our dress attire. For two awkward people in front of the camera, Mark made us look great with all of his cues and guidance. We definitely felt comfortable in front of the camera because of him. He gave us fun scenarios to induce a natural laugh and smile. We chose the 1.5 hour photo session and he went above and beyond, making the most of a most productive session at sunset. I’m in love with his pictures and have gotten soo many compliments already. Although Hawaii provides gorgeous scenery in itself, Mark’s work is definitely unique and gorgeous. After the session, Mark gave us a local’s insider on some great restaurants and bars to try while we were out there, too! Definitely always appreciative of foodie advice, haha.

We had an amazing experience with Mark during our engagement photoshoot in Kona! He was so warm and welcoming – we immediately felt at ease on set. We had originally envisioned a jungle backdrop for our pictures and when I emailed Mark to coordinate and he sent over some great recommendations for location. We picked a trail with plenty of jungle foliage, but come photoshoot day Mark called in the morning saying it had rained in that area and it was too wet to do the shoot there. He was very thorough in tracking the weather to make sure the conditions would be perfect, and when they weren't, he was proactive and flexible in working with us to reschedule - he gave us several alternative options. When we made a last-minute request to change the venue on the morning of the shoot (we decided to change the location to be at a gorgeous plantation b&b we were staying at), Mark was extremely flexible and supportive, driving an extra 30 minutes to meet us there so we could have the shoot we wanted. We had such a fun time doing the photoshoot with Mark, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! He kept us relaxed and having fun, and the photos turned out beautifully. We are so happy that we'll have these photos to enjoy forever!

We were all so very happy with the photographs that Mark was able to capture on our amazing day!! My husband surprised me with a full Hawaiian wedding (vowel renewal) with our children and Mark did an amazing job! VERY easy to work with and very personable. My husband and I live on Oahu. We took a long weekend trip to Kona back in February for Valentine's Day. We decided the week prior to our trip that we wanted to try to get engagement photos done while we were there. Lucky for us, Mark was available! He gave us multiple options for the location and we picked Kukio Beach. Mark was very friendly and easy to work with. We had sunset photos done and the results were AMAZING. My husband and I had never taken professional photos together and we were worried that we would be awkward. Mark made us very comfortable and we now have the most beautiful album. We would have loved to have him shoot our wedding as well but unfortunately Michigan (where we had our wedding) is a bit far from Kona. If you are looking for a photographer on the Big Island, I highly recommend Mark!

Mark did an amazing job for our intimate January wedding in Kona! Overall, I was nervous about having a destination wedding and having to plan everything remotely. Throughout the entire process Mark was very responsive and helpful with any questions that we had. My husband and I are introverts and really don't like having photos taken or being in front of crowds. However, Mark did such an excellent job at helping guide us through the process that it felt so nice and natural to have all of our photos taken!

He was good at helping with my family and friends relax and laugh together during our group photos. My family and friends cannot stop raving over the quality of his photos, everyone tells me it looks like it's straight out of a movie or a photoshoot! We're so happy that we went with Mark as our photographer, and definitely recommend him to any couple planning a destination wedding in Hawaii.

Mark did our elopement/wedding photos at holualoa inn and they turned out fabulous! He was very professional and personable at the same time. Our photos will be treasured for a lifetime 💖 he was also very easy to work with, went with the flow of what we wanted, and the process from setting up, to payment, to getting photos was seamless. He was very responsive and prompt to emails since we were on the mainland. We highly recommend mark!

Mark was amazing to work with and we couldn't have asked for anything more! He photographed our wedding in Holualoa, Hawaii and did a first look at the ocean beforehand. We hired Mark to photograph our wedding in November 2019. We live on Oahu and our wedding was on the Big Island, which made the planning process somewhat stressful at times. However, Mark put our minds at ease by checking in periodically via email to ensure that we would have all the details of the day-of photography squared away long before the day of our wedding. He was very responsive and made sure that all of our questions were answered, which is a total blessing during the wedding planning process!

Mark even came by our venue the day of our rehearsal, just to get a sense of the area and be prepared for the big day; he definitely went above and beyond to ensure the best quality service and photos possible!
Our wedding day was so much fun, and Mark made sure to capture all the great moments. He made the formal portraits fun for us, our families, and our entire wedding party. Looking through the photos he captured on our special day really makes me glad we decided to work with Mark. His creativity and ability to make us comfortable in front of the camera really show in the beautiful pictures he captured. We are so grateful that Mark made our wedding photography process seamless and enjoyable from start to finish. We found Mark through a Google search from Vancouver, Canada. We loved the quality of work that we saw so we decided to take a chance. Everything from there was incredibly smooth. On the day of our wedding, he showed up, was very cheery and incredible to work with. After being BLOWN can away with how magical he made everything look, we also noticed he ran around the entire wedding complex without being noticed to get every shot possible! In the two minutes I said my vows, I think he had 8 different angles of me! Photos of a dark rainy wedding day were bright and lush. Hire Mark!!!!

Mark is a joy to work with and his work is phenomenal! I do not enjoy getting my picture taken and neither does my husband, but Mark made the process painless and fun!
