Holualoa Inn's boutique bed and breakfast is an architecturally inspired Polynesian oasis. The Main Inn, which was initially built as a private vacation home, features six uniquely appointed guest rooms. Two additional guest accommodations--a one-bedroom vintage cottage, the Darrell Hill Cottage, and our spacious bridal suite, the Red Barn--are located mere steps from the Main Inn. Couples seeking the upmost ease and privacy are encouraged to book an exclusive buyout of the Main Inn, Darrell Hill Cottage, and Red Barn for 16 - 20 guests to secure exclusive access to our mosaic-tiled pool, ocean-view hot tub, vibrant gardens, daily gourmet breakfast, and cozy common spaces.

Highly recommend Holualoa Inn for your Wedding!
Holualoa Inn is a beautiful venue location & vendor if you are envisioning an intimate celebration overlooking the Kona coast and surrounded by the most tropical nature. That was exactly what we wanted and it exceeded expectations. Some highlights to call out are the grounds are impeccably maintained, the contacts you work with throughout the process are very responsive, experts in supporting weddings, and flexible, and the views / setting will leave your guests in awe. Additionally, we stayed onsite before our wedding and night of, and Holualoa Inn made sure our stay was stress-free and very enjoyable, including having breakfast ready for us the day of our wedding (and accommodating our plant-based diet), cleaning our room during our wedding reception, and seamless/easy check-out. Throughout the process, we visited several times with our wedding planner and they were always willing to work & meet with us, and they have worked with many vendors on the island so the load-in/load-out process before and after our wedding was incredibly seamless. It truly is the most magical place to get married and will forever be glad to have the memory of celebrating there.

Superb experience in a breathtakingly beautiful place!
My husband and I booked the elopement package since we only had 8 guests and were doing a small, low-key, immediate family wedding. The wedding coordinator, Audrey, was extremely responsive and helpful from start to finish. I had never been to the Inn or the island before, so she gave lots of advice, like which spot we should have our ceremony and photos, suggestions on where to go to dinner, etc. It was so helpful that they had recommendations for officiants / photographers and coordinated with them, and they even walked us through the logistical steps we needed to take for our marriage license. It made things so easy and stress-free for us. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating to whatever we needed once we got there to make sure we had a perfect wedding. Given that we were doing the small elopement package, they were also flexible if we wanted to move the location of the ceremony or time once we arrived since we had never been before. I appreciated having that piece of mind so we could make sure it was exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend this extremely special place for an incredible wedding and intimate experience!

Our dream wedding
We loved our experience getting married at Holualoa Inn. Every time we had questions, they were answered thoughtfully. It was easy to communicate via email.
Our wedding day itself was perfect! It was meaningful to get married with a view overlooking Kona town behind us. There were birds flying in the background as we said our vows. It was just a perfect day!

Beautiful venue, amazing service, and such a special experience.
Holualoa Inn is such a special wedding venue. It’s breathtakingly beautiful and private, with the most stunning views. When guests arrived at our ceremony, some asked, “Is this what heaven looks like?" and some thanked us for giving them the opportunity to visit such a gorgeous place. It truly felt like paradise.
Beyond all the venue's beauty, the care and service we received from the staff were truly exceptional. They made us feel taken care of every step of the way. The night before the wedding, I stayed in the Red Barn, which was the perfect space to get ready. It was so special waking up on site and taking a quiet moment to walk around and soak it all in before the business of the day's events. There was more than enough room for my bridesmaids, and the steamer in the changing room was a lifesaver!
Another highlight was breakfast at the Inn. They easily accommodated my gluten sensitivity and prepared delicious & fresh meals. The staff at the Inn were so kind and memorable. Every moment at Holualoa Inn felt so dreamy, and I will cherish it forever.

Most amazing wedding venue!
We initially found this venue when looking for a stay-cation when we lived in Hawaii, and I even told my now husband that I wanted to get married there one day. When the time finally came to book a venue, we searched all over Hawaii venues and kept coming back to the Inn. We booked the venue sight unseen, and were completely blown away with how gorgeous it was when it came time for our wedding. We rented out all 8 rooms for our family to stay at the Inn which was such a treat for all of us, we didn't want to leave! Holualoa Inn has top-notch service, with their elegant decor, amazing breakfasts, and all of their touches that made it a elevated home away from home. It was the perfect venue for our wedding of 122 and the perfect mini vacation for a few days surrounding the wedding. The Red Barn was the perfect bridal suite for getting ready. Their hospitality is unmatched and we could not have hoped for a better location. Our family is already trying to plan to come back every year!!

Heaven on Earth
The Holualoa Inn is a little piece of heaven on Earth! It is such a special place for my husband and I. We became engaged here in September 2021 and loved it so much that we returned for our wedding day exactly 2 years later! It was the most magical day ever! The perfect place for a wedding! The scenery is breathtaking and you can have the entire place for you and your loved ones! Everything is so serene and beautiful! The estate is gorgeous, comfortable, clean, and organized! Breakfast is delicious! Everyone is so kind and attentive! I dream about the Holualoa Inn often! Our wedding day was a dream and will live in our hearts forever! A sincere and profound THANK YOU! ❤️ We will see you again for anniversaries!

Amazing experience all around
My fiance and I got engaged at the beginning of COVID lockdown in 2020. We spent a lot of time trying to decide the type of wedding we wanted, whenever it would be safe to have one. We aligned early on about a few key elements: natural beauty, elevation/a view, intimate and warm, ties to our personal life. Holualoa Inn hit all of these elements and then some. Audrey was so helpful with deciding on possible dates, exploring all potential costs, and she was even willing to help us tour the venue on our short trip to Hawaii (after we had booked a date). They have a great list of preferred vendors, which was a huge relief for a long-distance bride like me. Fast forward to our wedding day and everything was magical. Getting ready at the Red Barn was a dream. We chose to stay there that night and it was incredible to wake up to the breeze and serene environment. The homemade breakfast was healthy and delicious, and don't get me started on their coffee. We ordered some of their property-grown coffee as gifts for our wedding guests, and it was a huge hit! 100% Kona coffee and it really tied together with having our wedding there. Overall, I have nothing but positive feedback and if you're even considering getting married on the island, you HAVE to explore Holualoa Inn.

Best venue in Hawaii
We toured holualoa inn first on our list of venues and every other one just could not live up to the feeling we got when we were there. We toured the outrigger, Mauna Kea, royal Kona and hokulia. Hokulia came close in terms of the gorgeous views and elegance but they had strict rules and you couldn’t stay on site. A major selling factor for us was getting to rent out the entire estate for the long weekend and have our closest friends stay there with us. We have such great memories hanging by the pool and spending time with our bridal/grooms party the days surrounding the wedding. Rent the full 4 days if you can- you won’t regret it! Our friends were so happy to get to stay another night following the wedding. All of the staff was SO nice and we looked forward to the breakfasts every morning! We also had our rehearsal there the night before- highly recommend! Thank you especially to Audrey for supporting us through our Covid wedding planning! It was a rollercoaster but so worth it! Can’t wait to go back fora stay as a couple and our friends/family can’t wait to join us for our vow renewals there!

The best on the Big Island
I immediately fell in love with Holualoa Inn from our first site visit and couldn’t be happier that we chose them as our reception venue for our big day. The grounds are like none other I’ve seen on the island - lush, elegant, private and magical in a way that you can only truly understand having visited there. The staff was phenomenal to work with while planning from afar and they went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was a success. My husband and I got married in March 2020 just before COVID reached the islands, and in the week leading up to our big day there was a lot of uncertainty and stress about potential restrictions and lockdowns. The Holualoa Inn staff worked hard to ease any concerns and ensured that us and our guests felt completely safe. Holualoa Inn is easily my favorite place on the Big Island - so much so that my husband and I will be returning to spend our 1 year anniversary there! Thank you to the Holualoa Inn team for creating such a wonderful space, and helping us create our storybook wedding. Mahalo!

An Amazing Venue!
From our first site visit, to our wedding weekend with the Holualoa Inn team we knew that we made the best decision ever. We were fortunate enough to spend three nights at the Inn and utilized the entire property. The rooms are all beautiful, the landscape is mesmerizing, and the views from each part of the property are stunning. The breakfasts were some of the best meals we’ve ever had - it’s worth every penny just for that signature French Toast! Each member of the Holualoa Inn family made us and our guests feel right at home with their island hospitality, while impressing our guests in the perfect setting for our wedding day! We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Inn and their team!
