Hawaiian Island Events are absolutely amazing! They were such a breeze to work with and so easy to get ahold of. We had to postpone our wedding a few times due to COVID but they were very flexible & able to get us rescheduled twice. We were on the Hilo side of the island and they arrived early each time they stopped by to bring rentals or set up for day of. Definitely worth reaching out to them!

I’m so grateful for HIE, they really tied the whole event together with the linens, lights, shoe valet and lounge furniture. Our guests were so impressed with the style and look! The set up was flawless and we can’t thank you enough for making our day special.

Hannah, John and the HIE team literally saved our March 2020 wedding! My husband and I were married on the Big Island just before COVID reached the islands, and in the week leading up to our big day there was much uncertainty and stress about potential restrictions and lockdowns. We had already arranged extensive rentals with the HIE team (tables, chairs, flatware, lighting, linens, etc.) and quickly had to pivot to accommodate a rapidly changing guest count and layout. I know many other recent brides unfortunately understand the pain of watching your carefully made plans fall apart, however Hannah stepped in gracefully and helped pick up the pieces to ensure our day was still a success. From jumping in when our original coordinator cancelled last minute, to surprising us with unexpected details (the light up ‘Aloha’ sign was magical!), to simply listening and reminding us it was all going to work out in the end Hannah, John and the HIE team truly made us feel like we were part of their ohana. And that’s not even to say anything about their beautiful inventory of rental pieces! Simply put they transformed our space into the reception of our dreams. HIE went above and beyond for us and I would 100% recommend working with them. Great work, easy to work with, and the product is exceptional.

We used them just to rent an arch, table and chairs for our ceremony. We were pleased when they arrived and set everything up on time and came and picked everything up when they said they would. It was an easy process from the beginning and we would highly recommend them.

Hannah and John provide a power couple when it come to event coordination, design and rental hire on the Big Island of Hawaii. Initially when looking for inspiration, my lovely now wife, went to instagram and noted that a majority of the well-known vendors on the island worked closely with HIE. Hannah was a complete delight to work with in the weeks and months leading up to our wedding day (12th of June, 2018). Constantly changing our order and sending photos and suggestions of additional items that a wedding and receptions needs that we didn’t think of, like cake stands and a dj table. Hannah even facilitated our request for last minute changes to our order and didn’t seem to skip a beat. The couple took the time before our event to meet on the property where we will be having our wedding to run through the placement of the items and outlay the plan for the ceremony/reception coordination. This is where we met John. John loves a challenge and was constantly looking for ways to make our wedding day design unique. Nothing seemed like to big an issue for Hannah or John. During our event it rained and the guys reacted seamlessly to this and brought in all our outdoor items without drawing attention. We were lucky enough to pick up this couple and recommend you do also!

My wedding was a page out of mission impossible. From making the decision to actual ceremony, 90 days.... And Hannah got involved in the last 20. Since I am doing all the planning myself, as the groom, a lot of communication has to go through email and a time lag. Thing were looking doom and gloom.

However, Hannah came through, BIG time. We had a vision built out, shared a lot of ideas, pictures, colors, and she went to work. in 7 days she got me the proposal, and in 15 days she got everything finalized and done.

It was, one of the very best when we shared with our friends. everyone commented on how pretty the decor and the lighting was. Were there hiccups? sure, the cake light didn't come on, but at that point it was already perfect and mesmerizing, that didn't really matter. Everyone on staff at the resort were whispering about this new concept, and they all went down to see it. I got a lot of compliments from the hotel staff, Hannah and my planner Pua deserves all the credit.

Would I recommend them? Let me put it this way: if you are doing a wedding in Hawaii and NOT calling Hannah, you made a mistake.

Hannah and Hawaii Island Events went above and beyond to make this destination bride and groom feel right at home. Our wedding coordinator at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows highly recommended HIE, and straight away I knew we were in the best hands. Hannah and her team did everything to execute our vision (simple, clean and modern) perfectly. We even ran into weather hurdles (extreme winds) and had to move the entire wedding inside at the last minute, however, they didn't miss a beat and knew exactly what to do to still make our dreams come to fruition. We loved our wedding In Makalei. HIE was amazing. The setting was perfect . The only thing negative I can say is when they came to take down Everything they left over a dozen screws on the lawn. Luckily we were able to pick them all up before any one could step on them or our lawn mower chewed them up
Other then that I would diffinitly hire them again.
