My husband had worked with Chef Stavros at previous weddings so we had known that he was the Chef for us. However, I had never tasted his food so our wedding was the first time I would be experiencing his cooking. His food was delicious! Everyone at our wedding raved about how amazing his food was,starting with the salad, to the mashed potatoes, fish, pulled pork and chicken. For days afterwards our guests were still talking about how good the food was and saying they wished they were able to take some home after ( they could've we just forgot to ask!). Stavros prepared dinner for my wedding and the food was absolutely amazing. The wedding was held at a private house we rented on the Big Island and Stavros prepared dinner after the ceremony including a pupus, appetizer main course and dessert. Not only was the food amazing , it was all prepared at the house and the presentation was beautiful. Imagine if you can, the finest dining experience you will ever have and multiply it by 1000 %. Every bite from pupus to dessert melted in your mouth and gave your soul a party. We were introduced by email recommendation and I could not believe the menu he suggested. It was sure not your basic beef and chicken dinner. Here are the 3 entrees.
Wok charred island fish, luau leaf, lemongrass scented jasmine rice, shellfish butter
Hawaiian sea salt crusted pork tenderloin, Molokai sweet potato-coconut puree, asian pear chutney, pipinola
Sweet and spicy marinated beef tenderloin, lo mein noodles, red wine demi glace
His staff was attentive without intruding and my glass was never empty. Plates disappeared quietly and when it was all over the kitchen was spotless. We enjoyed the leftovers the next night with our friends who had traveled from the mainland to join us. They just kept raving about how outstanding the food was and that they had never been so well fed at any other wedding anywhere, anytime.
For a Kona Coast Big Island wedding you will not find a better caterer.
