Thank you so much Tanioka's and Gabrielle for making our catering experience such a smooth process. Gabrielle is VERY prompt and responsive with emails and calls. Tanioka's is VERY professional and very reliable. The service was amazing. The food was delicious, especially the poke appetizers, garlic chicken, and Asian braised short ribs. Our guests were mainly from out of town and they LOVED the food/buffet style. They offer a free tasting which was so fun because you get to cut the long line wrapping around the building. The only thing I wish they had was real china/silverware, we had to rent those from a rental company because we didn't want to use the 'fancy' plastic plates they offer. The prices are pretty fair and VERY worth it. We also got our dessert from them (easier than hiring another vendor, and I heard the dessert was good but didnt get to try!) Otherwise, there is nothing bad to say! Thank you Taniokas for making our wedding day so special!!!

All around an amazing experience! Lauren was wonderful in the planning process--so clear and reliable with her email/phone communication. When we got to Hawaii we did our tasting with Gabrielle--the experience exceeded my expectations! Plus she had some really helpful suggestions for our menu.
Tanioka's is top-notch in both service and food!! A word of advice--order poke-appetizers and triple what you think you need! We ordered their 2 large poke platters apps for 60 guests (and had some non-fish apps for the picky eaters). Since most of our guests were from the mainland and not 'adventurous' eaters, we thought we would be drowning in poke and eating it all the next day. Not the case at all. It was gone 15 minutes into cocktail hour! Everyone raved about it and was wanting more (including us!) and we heard so many comments that it was the best poke that they had had since they got to Hawaii.
For dinner, everything was delicious but the GARLIC CHICKEN is no joke! Tanioka's food was such a hit with all of our guests and we had people telling us that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had...with the chicken and poke in particular being the best food they'd ever had period!
We were shocked by how above and beyond the servers went...the groom even said "oh, I didn't know that service was included in our contract?" and their response was pretty much that they were doing it out of the goodness of their hearts! They were a huge help to us. The food was so amazing that that alone was going to earn them 5 stars, but the service really went above and beyond.
The catering is such a big portion of a wedding budget--go with Tanioka's! You won't be disappointed, they are worth every penny, and they made quite the impression on our guests--plus I really liked that we were giving that money to a family-run business.

We contacted Tanioka's based on the recommendation of our wedding coordinator and our venue. They were responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process, starting from our very first consultation and tasting. They ultimately provided appetizers, dinner, and dessert for out approximately 120 guests, as well as bartending and waiting services. We were able to purchase our own soft drinks and alcohol from Costco and Tanioka's provided bartenders to help us serve. The food was amazing and we got so many compliments from our guests! We really appreciated how they helped us plan for our guests with special dietary needs and allergies. And their prices our excellent; we felt we got such a great value. Highly recommend!

I loved this venue. For me, my wedding was Hawaiian themed for all my family visiting from out of town. They were easy to work with for a menu and affordable. The food was delicious and fresh. We had the Mochiko chicken, Luau pork and much more. All the food was a hit. It had variety so a guest could have options to choose from. Every guest raved about the food and said it was amazing. They served the food buffet style. They were polite and brought my groom and I a plate. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this vendor.

Tanioka's was amazing to work with! We didn't know what to expect and had eaten a light breakfast before arriving. We were brought a good portion of samples to use (at least 2 plate lunches worth) and allowed us to take our time and eat with us. We fell in love with the mochiko chicken. Everyone enjoyed the food so much that we had very little to almost no leftovers! Logan and I weren't able to sit down and eat often so we asked the attendants to make us a plate lunch when they boxed up everything so that we could enjoy it later. The attendants were personal and courteous as well. The team at Tanioka's were amazing and I would highly recommend them for any event!

Our wedding was a destination wedding at Paradise Cove. We flew to Hawaii to scout out vendors. Tanioka's came highly recommended from friends that live in Hawaii. We stopped in and was shocked to see how packed their storefront location was we ordered some food and instantly knew this was the place we wanted. We contacted Lauren who helped us prepare our menu or coordinate what was needed for our special day. We went with the Prime Rib, the Kalua Pig and Cabbage and my favorite the Garlic Chicken! All of our 78 guests flew in from the mainland so I wasn't sure how the would react to the local style food but they all loved it. It was buffet style and we had tons of food. The service was second to none.

We hired Tanioka’s to cater our wedding, and we could not have been happier. First, Tanioka’s provides exceptional customer service. Justin and his father are incredibly kind, and you can tell that they believe in the quality of their food and, more importantly, they want their customers to be happy. Lauren, who helped us with our order, was also so nice, patient, and helpful. My husband and I went back and forth on what we wanted, and Lauren continued to answer our questions and attempt to accommodate our requests.
Second, the food is amazing. Most of our guests were from the mainland, so we wanted to have a menu that showcased local food. We choose the menu that included short ribs, garlic chicken, furikake fish, and tofu salad. We also ordered appetizers that included sushi rice with spicy ahi, garlic soybeans, and caprese skewers. We were worried that although we love this type of food, it may not appeal to our mainland guests. But our mainland guests loved it all! Our guests could not stop talking about the food, and our only regret is that we didn’t have time during the wedding to finish our plates. To this day, my husband keeps telling me that we need to go back to Tanioka’s to order all of the foods that we weren’t able to eat—especially the garlic chicken. We could not have asked for a better catering experience than Tanioka’s. There is a reason why every time we went to their storefront location, there was a line to the door.

Tanioka's did our catering for our wedding and they were so awesome. My guests gave me comments after the wedding at how nice the officiants were and how good the food was. They were very well organized, professional, friendly and reliable. I would hire them again. The food was amazing and so many choices to choose from when planning for an event. We had to change the amount of people were coming to the wedding 4 days before the event and they had no problem with changing the quote and quantity.

We are from Los Angeles and we had an Oahu destination wedding. We didn't have the extra time nor money to fly to Oahu a few months ahead of time to checkout vendors. So, we ended up finding most of our vendors on yelp, wedding wire, and other websites. Taniokas was by far the best value of all of the catering services that we had researched. One of the owners, Justin, was with us from the beginning. He was always quick to respond to email, texts, and phone calls. He even gave us his cell phone number so we could contact him by text at any time. Not only did taniokas provide amazing food for our reception, they had a wonderful serving staff and very profesional equipmant. We chose the wedding buffet menu, which was so much food that we even moved some of it to our appetizer hour. We had so many compliments ablut the food. The poke was amazing, as was the garlic chicken, mini glazed poi (which tastes like yummy donuts!!), and the spamusubi! You cannot go wrong with taniokas. Trust their 1000s of reviews...they are awesome!

Tanioka's catered our wedding of 80 people. They were very flexible with our menu choices, and we got exactly what we wanted. They followed through on everything that was promised, and we could not be happier with the service and the food.
