Linda was hands down my favorite vendor to work with in my entire wedding planning process. I came to her for alterations on 2 dresses - my main wedding gown as well as a 2nd look short dress. In addition to doing excellent work, on time, at a very reasonable price, she is just such a pleasure to spend time with. She's fun and cool and really knew how to put this anxious bride at ease!

Linda did an amazing job with my wedding dress alterations. She is very well priced, professional, and easy to talk to. She has a ton of experience and is very knowledgeable. She also has a very flexible schedule and I was able to have all of my appointments on Saturday mornings. We met a total of 5 times and she always walked me through what she was doing and made sure I was comfortable with the changes. The bodice was an odd construction right off the rack and she completely fixed it and made it fit like a glove. Everyone should use Linda for their wedding dress alterations!

I ordered a lovely wedding dress online and when it arrived, I realized it was very heavy and oddly shaped on my body. I reached out to four or five tailors in the Austin area and the second I mentioned I needed my wedding dress altered, they were giving me quotes that were higher than what I spent on the dress! I found Carter Creations through Yelp and was super impressed with her reviews, five stars across the board, as all the other tailors weren't even close. I called her and she told me to come on by on a Saturday (Yes! Didn't need to take time off work!) and I could tell just by our brief phone conversation that she was a warm, genuine person who would have my best interest in mind.

I went to her house and she told me about the construction of my dress and what all she needed to do in order to tailor it to my body. Then she gave me a quote that, I kid you not, was less than HALF of what other tailors were quoting me. I signed an agreement on the spot and left my dress with her. I had a very flexible timeline since my wedding wasn't for a few months, so for the next three weekends I'd go by, try the dress on to see her progress, and by week four she was completely done. The amount of work she had to do in order to fix that dress! She's a lovely woman and it was so easy to connect with her. I recommend Carter Creations based on professionalism, kindness, price, and all things good.

Linda at Carter Creations was amazing! I saw a dress I loved online (emily riggs bridal - her work is gorgeous) long before my wedding, and although it was my dream dress, I could never afford it at $7000. Instead, I bought a beautiful silk skirt on sale and started looking for someone to help me make the top - I just couldn't find what I wanted in stores. I found Linda and she was fantastic! She was so much fun to work with and went above and beyond in helping me with my vision. She looked at the photos I brought and fashioned two different muslins (mock-ups of the garment made out of muslin or cheaper fabric) for me to try and on to talk about the design and material. After I selected the style I preferred, she remade it again out of an inexpensive fabric which we used to perfect and make the pattern, and then again out of the final materials! She helped me source affordable (and gorgeous) french lace online, dyed it to match the skirt and sewed it all together to make my dream top. After my final pickup I tried it on again at home and there was a part of me that wished the neckline was a pinch lower. I asked Linda about it, and without hesitating she offered to lower it for me (at no extra cost). She also did a great job altering the skirt to fit me perfectly. And she went out of her way to make some minor adjustments to a jumpsuit I had purchased to wear to the reception - which I had not warned her about and had just brought with me. She fixed it in a matter of minutes while I watched. It was overall a fantastic experience and if I ever have need of alterations (or more custom made garments) in the future I will definitely go to her. I ended up with my dream dress for less than anything I could have purchased from any bridal store in Austin. She also offers sewing classes - which I am super tempted to sign up for!

Linda is amazing!! She is so easy to work with and made my dress look amazing!! She is not at all expensive for the work she does. I will be going back in the future for other alterations!

Linda was a life-saver! I wish that I had gone to her from the beginning of my dress search. I met her 4 days before my wedding and she went out of her way to help me fix my dress so that I could wear it.

Long story short: I went to a rack-store and let them do the first round of alterations. After weeks of missed deadlines and several fittings, they gave up on me. Said it was the best they could do. This strapless gown didn't even stay up on me and I kept tripping on the hem! It was the Tuesday before my Saturday wedding and I was a wreck. Then a friend recommended that I call Linda and see if she might be able to do some good-enough fixes so that I could wear it.

Linda was very gracious and understanding and agreed to see me that Wednesday night. She took quick stock of the dress on me and assured me that she could help. I really appreciate her attention to detail. She asked me what kind of dancing I was going to do. When I said some waltz and swing, she immediately said, then I'll shorten that skirt a little more. I was so relieved! (The other alteration place just kept telling me to walk differently. Seriously?)

Because Linda was squeezing me in around her other clients, and I couldn't get to her place on Friday because of family events, I didn't pick up the dress until Saturday. Yup. The morning of my big day I pick up my dress and am, of course, stressed to the gills. Linda gave me a hug and assured me that everything would be fine. I finally got to put the dress on at the wedding venue and it was just perfect! I'm mean not just good enough, but fit like it was made for me. I didn't worry about wearing it once during the whole evening.
