Our wedding was such a magical day at the Black Bear Inn! This intimate venue was PERFECT for our woodsy, midsize wedding. Wendi & Bruce were the perfect hosts, and we loved having the whole inn to ourselves for the weekend. They even cooked breakfast for our small wedding party who stayed in the rooms. Wendi went above and beyond even helping to print my Mother-in-Law’s toast poem. Love, love, LOVE this place and we will be back for anniversaries!!!!!

A Magical and Beautiful Location
Black Bear Inn was the perfect location for our wedding. We had a very intimate wedding of 30 people, and it was the perfect size. The grounds were covered in beautiful sweet pea wildflowers, roses, and trees for our July wedding. We stayed at the Inn all weekend, which allowed us to have our small rehearsal dinner there, as well as clean up on Sunday. Throughout the planning process, Wendi was there to answer any questions AND she was also there the day of to help in any way she could. Chef Bruce made us an incredible French Toast breakfast the morning of our wedding. We were on Cloud 9 after it was over. We can't wait to return for our anniversary.

Wonderful venue and hospitality!!
Wendi and Bruce at the Black Bear Inn were incredible. They answered any questions we had, were very flexible in allowing us to come view the venue and they had a great list of recommended vendors that know the venue very well. The venue was clean and beautiful during the fall season! They were very helpful in showing us where things can be set up and even allowed us to borrow some of their tables for the wedding. They're such wonderful people and honestly the location really helped us make a memorable wedding we won't forget. We plan to visit again! The location is amazing if you want a woodsy cabin like venue. The outside is the best part of the venue! It's well kept and gorgeous.

Love love love
Fantastic place! We love Wendi and Bruce and cant wait to have out wedding in august with them! We have stayed as guests and were treated like royalty! They put a personal touch in everything 100/100 recommend. Its a beautiful place to get away to and of course have a wedding

Best place ever!
We wanted somewhere up in the woods for our wedding and we found Black Bear when googling. It was the first and only venue we looked at, we LOVED it! Our wedding was this weekend and it was nothing short of perfect. Wendi and Bruce, the owners, are the kindest people and helped make sure that everything went perfectly. Wendi answered all of my calls and helped keep me calm the few weeks leading up to the wedding. Every wedding needs a Wendi and Bruce.
We will continue to go to the Black Bear In and will hopefully have a baby shower there soon. Wendi and Bruce made us feel like family.

Amazing Venue
My husband and I got married here on 6/29/19 and we had an amazing experience. Wendi and Bruce are so friendly and so helpful with the planning process. We hired almost all vendors from the recommended vendor list that wendi gave us and we loved every single vendor we hired. The venue itself is beautiful, I would definitely recommend reserving the available rooms for the whole weekend of the wedding. I am so glad we got married here, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Thank you so much Wendi and Bruce! We cannot wait to come back again.

Amazing Venue - Amazing Day
We cannot say enough about Wendi and Bruce and the Black Bear Inn in Arnold, CA. It is an absolutely amazing property with beautiful grounds. From the moment we contacted Wendi and Bruce, we knew we were in great hands. They helped to minimize that annoying "wedding stress" and made sure that everything fell perfectly into place on our big day. We could not have been happier with the venue or with the coordination and assistance of Wendi and Bruce. We continue to receive lovely praise on our big day and its location. Absolutely Perfect
This was the venue of our dreams. First of all, Bruce and Wendi are amazing to work with, and they helped us out with ALL sorts of random stuff on the days leading up to the wedding, along with the wedding day itself. They were always there to lend a hand with setup, duct tape, batteries, decorating, literally ANYTHING that we needed.
The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, and furnished with everything that we needed. The grounds are also perfectly manicured and beautiful, with different areas for the ceremony and reception, with a hot tub for the night before! If you're having a wedding near the Big Trees, there is no other option that even comes close. Book this venue!

The perfect outdoor wedding!
We choose the perfect place! They have an outdoor or indoor option. Beautiful! Easily checked off everything on our list for choosing a venue. Wendi is amazing and so helpful! The outdoors alone are beautiful enough so we did not need any extra decorations. Definitely worth the price!

I am so happy I booked my wedding at the Black Bear Inn! Wendi and Bruce were absolute amazing - super responsive, so helpful in making sure the day ran smoothly, and provided fantastic recommendations for vendors that just knocked everything out of the park. I was able to sit back, relax and enjoy the day knowing we had an awesome group of people in place to make it such a special day (we literally had zero hiccups). The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, not to mention a great location for your bridal party - we booked the venue which is where the bridal party stayed, then booked the Yellow Dog Airbnb which is walking distance; both were extremely comfortable. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. I expect my husband and I will be back to visit for the many anniversaries ahead! So many thanks to Wendi and Bruce!

We love this little gem in the heart of the sierras. If your looking for a venue don't over look The Black Bear Inn. Its a great both indoors and out. A mountain rustic feel. We love photographing at the Black Bear Inn.
