We actually found Betty by posting on a local Facebook community forum, we asked the community if they had any recommendations for a Spectacular Wedding Officiant for our ceremony. We were having a medium sized 130-person wedding in Sturbridge, MA (but we live in Connecticut). The vast majority of the members of the forum kept recommending the same name over and over again: Betty Allard. About 90% of the comments told us to contact Betty as she is one of the best. We emailed her and set up an appointment a few days later to visit her at her home. And she was the friendliest and most knowledgeable Wedding Officiant out there. You can immediately tell that she is a Pro. I think she told us that she has performed at about 4,000 weddings I think. And you can really tell that she knows her stuff. We booked her immediately right then and there. Price was affordable too, just a couple hundred dollars (which includes her travel time to the venue from Connecticut.) And throughout the wedding planning process, she brought questions to our attention that we wouldn't have even considered! She was definitely one of our most helpful vendors. She can accommodate any requests (not that we had any crazy requests, but it is good to know). The only request we had was to not make the ceremony too religious, because we are two people of different faiths, and we're not super religious anyways. And she didn't mention religion once during the ceremony. It was perfect! Another thing is that we hired a Violin String Quartet to play during pieces of the ceremony, and she helped coordinate with us and with them about her gently & subtly nodding to them on when to start and stop the music. She's literally done it all, so she knows her stuff. But the most amazing thing, she didn't even use a Book, or Notes, or any writing material when she performed the ceremony for us! It was incredible. Apparently, she showed us at the initial meeting, how she has everything all MEMORIZED in her head before the ceremony starts. She takes notes during the initial meeting to ask you what you like, what your preferences are, any quotes or sayings that you like, any religion, etc. And then by your wedding day, she has the entire ceremony perfected and memorized! It really brings another level and sense of simplicity and professionalism when the officiant isn't looking down in all the videos & photographs. All of our guests were telling us how good she was. If you are looking for an officiant, we highly recommend Betty. In the future, we will look to have her for vow renewals.

When you become friends with Betty, it's probably because she joined you in marriage with your best friend. In my case this marks my 14th wedding anniversary (16th together) to my wonderful wife and friend Ava! Thank you Betty, after all these years I still remember how you and Paul made our very quaint ceremony special and memorable. The lives you've touched; countless. Thank you and Paul again.

Betty was amazing and so easy to work with. You can tell she really cares about the couple she’s officiating. She asks about how you met so she can feel more connected and I thought that was great. She has such a warm, welcoming personality and such great energy. I can’t say enough great things about her :)
