It was such a lovely experience at Bernardo Winery and working with Terry. She was very patient and kind with us and answered all our questions. We had a very small wedding and intimate setting, and they worked with our budget. It was a perfect setting and night for our wedding. The staff was all so wonderful and accomodating as well. I couldn’t be happier!

Bernardo has always been our favorite place to have some wine and great food now we can also say it was the perfect venue for our wedding. Bernardo feels like a hidden gem in San Diego, they have wine, food, wonderful shops and great gelato. If you’re planning a wedding you cannot go wrong with choosing them as your venue. They are so nice and helpful with all details. Their event planner Terry was completely amazing throughout all the planning.

As with many couples in 2021 we were trying to figure out where to have our wedding after being engaged for over a year. We visited Bernardo Winery in April 2021 and immediately fell in love with Uncle Vito's Park. We loved how open the area was and that there were grape vines nearby. The winery itself is such a unique place and we loved that it has a rustic charm and history that fit us perfectly. We signed right away and Terry and her team were great to work with. We live in the Bay Area so planning a wedding in another city can be stressful, but Terry made things quite easy. She was responsive and helpful with great suggestions. We did meet her in person a few times when we visited San Diego and she always gave us her full attention and time. It was helpful that they have a preferred vendor list for food and DJ and other services. It just makes choosing vendors easier because they have done weddings at the winery before and they all have worked together. Our DJ, officiant, and Terry have done many weddings together so that worked in our favor. We even had our rehearsal lunch at the winery and Jason and the restaurant staff were awesome! They made sure the food was ready on time and everything was set up before we arrived. Everything flowed so smoothly the day of our wedding and it was the most perfect day that we'll never forget. We truly felt the vision we had set out to have for our wedding was fulfilled with having it at Bernardo Winery. We look forward to going back to visit a lot more to just enjoy the winery. Choosing the right vendors is key to having a great wedding and we couldn't have been happier with Bernardo Winery and the staff. Just great people that work hard!

Bernardo Winery was the perfect venue for my husband and I! The moment we stepped on the property we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. The Rosario Pavillon is gorgeous with its rustic outdoor charm and was the perfect size for our ~130 guest wedding. Terry was amazing helping us get everything set for our big day and ensured everything went smoothly and on schedule the day of! We could not have found a more perfect wedding venue for our special day. The Bernardo Winery is a hidden gem in San Diego that is gorgeous, rustic and brings its own history which adds to the uniqueness of the venue. All of our guests are local to San Diego and everyone kept coming up to me throughout the night saying how pretty the venue is, that they want to come back to the winery to explore more & enjoy wine tastings with their friends. Terry is above and beyond fantastic. She brings a lot of experience for her new brides that feel lost in the planning process. She is patient with you, makes sure that your wedding goes as seamless as possible and is open to making things happen, the way you envisioned it. She is the reason that not one thing went wrong at our wedding. Terry catered to my special requests, made a point that whatever my vision for the day was that she would execute it and she also had many suggestions/ideas/answers when I was struggling to find solutions of my own. Terry and her team at the Bernardo Winery did a fantastic job. They made sure everything went off as planned. The setting at the winery is beautiful and Rosario's Pavillon is a perfect outdoor wedding venue. Would highly recommend this venue.

We had our wedding at Bernardo winery in June 2016 after visiting the winery and falling in love with the beautiful and quaint atmosphere. The venue had so much rustic detail and natural beauty that little effort was needed for decorating. Terry and the staff were so helpful throughout the whole process answering any questions promptly and thoroughly. She had great ideas to make our vision come to reality, down to fine details we hadn't considered. On the day of the wedding Terry and the staff's high level of professionalism made everything run smoothly and we couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out. My husband and I live in Las Vegas, but with the natural beauty at Bernardo Winery, there was no doubt it was perfect for us! Terry was very responsive via email and she was accommodating to our schedules. She was always a phone call or email away if we had any questions. She shared venue maps, pictures, and ideas with us. We had a detailed call two weeks before the event to go over the specifics for the day that we envisioned. We loved that we were able to pick out the wines and local craft beers to be served at our wedding!

We were able to decorate the venue at 9am. The space is a rustic blank canvas just perfect for all of our DIY stuff, and I loved the flexibility to bring in my own decor! Terry was incredible the day of our event! She managed the staging, making sure that I had everything I needed before the ceremony, and she ensured that we stayed on schedule during the reception. She was always nearby and was attentive to the needs of us and our guests.

Our guests are still raving about what an amazing wedding and reception we had, and as expected, everyone fell in love with Bernardo Winery!

The only bummer about the day (and we knew this going in) is that we wished it could have gone a little longer. A hard shut-down at 9pm was just too early. We could have danced and enjoyed the space all night long! But, we planned ahead of time to take the after-party over to our hotel where most of our guests were staying (the Rancho Bernardo Inn) and it worked out just fine!
