Awesome band and talent. My husband and I are very much into live
music, and they were the perfect compliment to our wedding. From the
beginning Jordan was super accommodating and communicative. They were
able to play the additional requested songs (outside of their list)
with ease for our procession. The remainder of the cocktail hour was
lovely filled with a nice mix of Irish and folk music. I would have
them at any of our other parties, affordable too!

Astrograss played at our wedding and was truly a highlight of our special day! They were very accommodating to all of our requests. They travelled all the way to MA from NY and were able to work with our budget to make our dreams of live music at our wedding possible! They have an extensive list of songs to add to your playlist and were willing to learn any special requests we had! The dance floor was lively into the night and even our nieces and nephews came on the stage to help sing some kids songs! Overall, I couldn't recommend them highly enough!

I was nervous booking them because I hadn't read any recent reviews, so I just wanted to come on here and say that they're awesome.

My husband and MIL danced their first dance to The Dead, we walked down the aisle to Wilco, and danced our first dance to a track off Mermaid Avenue.

If you're looking for a great folk/bluegrass band, book them.

They'll learn a handful of requests just for you and each will sound like it's been part of their set list for years.

Astrograss was amazing!! They played for our ceremony, reception and acoustic at our bonfire. They learned a few new songs for us including our first dance song. Everything sounded great with a fun bluegrass twist. We got tons of great comments and feedback from our guests on the music. They were also very professional and affordable. Highly recommended!

Astrograss had everyone up and dancing! We were looking for something a little different from the standard wedding band and absolutely found that in Astrograss. Very talented musicians -- from acoustic bluegrass for our ceremony to great covers for after-dinner dancing. Everything was great.

Having Astrograss play was one of the best parts of our wedding. They came all the way from Brooklyn to Frederick, Maryland to play for us the day after a big surprise snow storm. They were really nice and accommodating to work with and were flexible with last minute changes we had to make. They played all of the songs we had requested from their large play-list and they also learned our favorite new songs just for us. We booked them because we loved their up-beat bluegrass style and their extremely varied song-list - from traditional bluegrass, to pop and oldies, to traditional Jewish wedding dances. They did not disappoint as they were a great hit and everyone loved dancing to them. They seemed to be a bit more pricey than some other bands but it was definitely worth it. If we lived in Brooklyn we would go see them whenever they played shows.

Everyone said Astrograss was the best part of our wedding. They are a terrific choice for dancey folk music. Jordan was very communicative, getting back to us with all of our many requests. He was available by phone the day before with some questions regarding set up/electrical issues. The band performed for our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and bonfire, and was accommodating to all of the different vibes we wanted throughout (different music at each stage, not being too MC-y, though Jordan would have been great at that if we'd asked him to be - which perhaps we should have). Some items that didn't work out perfectly that I would recommend thinking through more thoroughly than we did: we choose a first dance song that was considerably different "Astrograss-style" than we had rehearsed (so I'd ask them in advance for something to practice with, so there are no surprises), they were talking during the toasts "behind stage" - although the "behind stage" was open to everyone at the reception. That was hard to stomach. Other than that, their music is terrific, they did a fantastic rendition of the song we asked them to learn for our processional, they were quiet throughout the ceremony, they were fun, they were easy for the venue to work with, and they stayed till the end (or perhaps even longer than they were contracted to). They were a true highlight of our wedding, and we thoroughly recommend working with them.

AMAZING musicians! Astrograss did a great job setting the tone for the ceremony, cocktail hour, AND reception. The have a great catalog of songs to choose from, but also learned 10 new songs for us. Everyone raved about the band.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
