We could not have been more pleased to work with Astro Event Company and more specifically DJ Larry D! As a couple, we loved the idea of bringing the music we grew up listening to into our reception where possible without sacrificing the good time - and boy did Larry deliver! From the start, we had created multiple playlists with music to be played during cocktail hour and dinner, music for the first half of the open dance floor, and music for late night. We were a little nervous to show up with so many ideas, but Larry was able to translate our requests into a carefully curated playlist that kept the momentum while adjusting for the crowd. Additionally, we had the option to identify special songs, including shout outs for special guests, which was a great way to make those moments shine. Our final dance felt like the biggest hug and party in part because Larry gave helpful instructions for guests to really send us off in style.

Ahead of the wedding, we had the chance to touch base over the phone and were both put at ease and excited by the expertise and ideas Larry brought to the table. During cocktail hour, we focused on jazz standards - all of the bride's favorites got some airtime! First dance and parent dances were so special, and the music was delivered without delays or challenges. The speeches and ceremony were audible to all our guests, which led to many happy tears from the emotional and hilarious moments. The use of discrete lavalier mics during the ceremony made for clean lines without sacrificing sound - we couldn't be more pleased!

In addition to audio services, we hired the Open Air Photobooth, which boasts unlimited photos, custom designs, and a dropbox link to all the pics following the event. We loved getting to see everyone's outfits and fun moments and really appreciated that there was a staff member on hand to help out. We noticed that while there is the option for guests to leave a 30-second video on the photobooth info page, we and our guests did not leave a video and were not prompted to, but we loved getting to design a custom banner/photo that gave folks a souvenir from the event.

Overall, we would recommend and book Larry/Astro Events in a heartbeat! We have so many great memories from the day and we attribute great audio success to the Astro Events team. Thank you!

I am so thankful we chose Astro for our wedding DJ services. We picked the package for an assigned DJ ~1-2 weeks out from the wedding. We also had a live musician for ceremony and cocktail hour. Astro was so easy to work with to ensure our live musician had all the equipment they needed (they were traveling from Hawaii to Virginia, so all the equipment came from Astro!). Now, the BEST part of the whole process, was being paired with LARRY! Larry crushed the reception dance party. Everyone was on their feet and didn't sit back down until the party was over! Larry was so easy to work with, so kind, and was the absolute dream of a DJ to have on our wedding night! I don't have a single complaint, and I would choose Astro and Larry over and over. Danny was the best, seriously made the wedding 10 times better and were so glad we got to celebrate with him!
