Sally and her team made our dream Hawaii wedding into a beautiful reality. She made the whole planning process (esp from afar) less stressful esp during a pandemic. She was mindful of our budget and very resourceful too without looking as if something decor wise was missing/lacking. Sally did an absolutely amazing planning our wedding. She exceeded all our expectations with exceptional service, and went so far above and beyond to make everything perfect for us. For instance, our photographer was injured the day before our ceremony and Sally found us a replacement within hours, and kept our involvement in that to a minimum to prevent us from worrying the day before the wedding. She recommended vendors when we needed recommendations, and made other great suggestions on any topics where we didn't know what to do. I was relaxed and worry free because I knew she'd take care of everything. We are so grateful! To all my COVID brides- My husband and I started planning our wedding in the Fall of 2019. Our original date was December 2020 and we had to postpone it to December 2021. We initially envisioned only day-of-coordination services. However, after planning a 9-person wedding for our original wedding date (so yes, we had 2 weddings), we realized that we would need much more help than just day-of services for our larger celebration in order to keep our sanity. The Four Seasons Oahu (our wedding venue) provided a list of wedding planner recommendations and we started the rounds of calls. I want to stress that you could have in lame terms, the bougiest planner, but if you're not vibing with them on a more emotional level, then they may not be the one for you. You're a planning a day that has so many details and events packed into a mere few hours and you want to be working with someone you trust to walk you through it all. Enter Sally. There was just something about her that we really responded to. She's sweet, easy to talk to, and honestly knows her stuff. We live on the East Coast so the time difference was 6 hours ahead of Hawaii time - planning was always an evening job for us. She was always available to us, and was always accommodating for calls between us and our venue contact at the Four Seasons to ensure that we were all on the page. She was resourceful and sourced specialty items and always made sure to find the most cost-effective options. We wanted to create a specific feeling/vibe/atmosphere that represented the warm and welcoming feeling of the island, and Sally delivered. The most noticeable victory is when we were looking for curtain twinkle lights above the reception area. Sally explained our vision to one of our already-sourced vendors, and man did they deliver. **Check out Aloha Artisans on Instagram if you want to drool over decorations and out twinkle light ceiling** Sally was always super prepared when we would have our meetings, to the point where it was truly impressive how much she had accomplished since our previous correspondence. She's very experienced, and we really benefitted from her extensive familiarity and connections with many of the vendors on the island. Most importantly, Sally was flexible and great in adapting to changing situations. This was a big concern during our planning process because of Oahu’s COVID-19 gathering restrictions, which were quite literally changing on a weekly basis. This alone added even more stress but Sally was always up to speed and would keep us in the loop. Speaking from a personal level, this was not an easy wedding to plan between the COVID restrictions, distance, and time change, but Sally made it all worth it. We can say with confidence that we wouldn't have been able to do this wedding without her. She did above and beyond throughout the planning process, as well as the day of. As the title mentions, Sally and team are rock stars and fantastic at what they do. My wife and I knew we needed someone to help us with our planning and coordination as our wedding would be a destination wedding for many of our guests. Arluis Weddings was provided to us as a recommendation. First and foremost, if you're on the fence on wedding planning and/or coordination, I hope this review convinces you that it is 100% worth it, and if that's the case, Sally and team are 1000% worth it.

Like many couples, my wife and I were one of the Covid couples that had postponed their 2020 wedding. We decided to shift our wedding to the islands to keep it closer to some family and also help keep our wedding size smaller. We initially found our venue at the end of 2020, but made no planning until April of 2021 when we felt safer on having a wedding. At that point, we had nothing else planned and knew we needed help.

We started off with an initial phone call with Sally, and we knew right away that we wanted to partner and work with Sally. This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

Despite only having a few months to plan everything, Sally and team helped make our day a reality and success. I will share a few anecdotes to help convince you that you should work with this team.

1. Despite only planning the wedding with about 3.5 months of lead time, at no point did my wife and I feel any stress related to the planning. Our only stressors were associated with the pandemic which was out of the control of both us and any vendor. Despite that, Sally made sure to have our back on all our planning. My wife and I were fully able to focus on our work and a recent home purchase that we made. At no point did wedding planning cause us any stress and Sally and team were really helpful to make sure of that.

2. Vendor selections - We had a few inspiration pictures and boards that we shared with Sally, and she helped us make the perfect selection for exactly what we wanted. These were things such as our furniture rentals, place setting, dance floor, and many more things you don't think about initially like a welcome sign! Moreover, Sally helped work to make sure we were efficient with our dollars even helping us book more price efficient items like the dance floor from vendors she works and is familiar with.

3. Since this was a destination wedding, Sally made sure to go to our wedding venue and work with our contact at the venue to preview layout. Moreover, it was the first time our DJ worked at this site (and they were awesome too by the way), so Sally went with them to preview the space. We had a detailed floor plan and an idea on how the day would be executed. We met the day prior to go over the details so that everyone would be comfortable on the day of the wedding.

4. Finally - we had no issues at our wedding and it was a wonderful celebration. For example, we took a little bit longer on taking some photos that we wanted (our choice), and Sally and team were there to help make sure we got everything back on track - helping us grab our room key from our friend while we took pictures, meeting us at the room, and then helping bring back items to our room at the end of the night. All of these things were unprompted by us, but ultimately made a difference in making sure the night went well. These are the small things you won't initially notice or think of, but really help make a difference.

We had many guests tell us that it was one of their favorite weddings they've been to. Sometimes you'll think this is flattery, but the fact that many have shared it with us has made us extremely happy. This is in part thanks to Sally and team.

SALLY!!! Our little quick planned covid wedding was what dreams are made of! I know everyone says that about THEIR wedding, but as a retired wedding videographer with terrible anxiety and a designer husband, we both can honestly say that the wedding looked and felt exactly the way we had hoped and more, and that’s thanks to Sally!

From the first time we emailed her, she responded the fastest, and gave the straightest answers of the dozens of planners we had contacted over the 2 years we were engaged. Since a big wedding was postponed by Covid, it was hard to get motivated to make decisions. We dragged our feet on it, and Sally was awesome giving us suggestions and locations. The first 3 were not quite right, not what we imagined, we got so far as to almost book a date, only to decide we should keep looking. Once we thought we had it ready to go, Sally notified us of some construction she heard of, and told us with full transparency so we could make a choice - and we hadn't even signed with her yet! Sally really stuck with us for months before we even made a payment! Finally we made a choice, and while it wasn't my first choice location, the wedding was planned in less than 3 months, with all of my little details and quirky things I wanted and great communication.

From my work, if I don't get the spreadsheet of the entire plan, I assume it's not being done - but every time I asked about something I thought she hadn't done or thought of - she had already done it behind the scenes! You can just let it go, and know that she has taken care of it, down to the way to tie a sign up, or anchoring something to the ground!

She was great with our family at rehearsal, and always so fun when we met. The vendors she recommended were GREAT. Some didn't have online reviews but we trusted Sally and they did NOT disappoint! Her team on the day got everything set up in lightning time and it was just as we imagined!

NOTHING WENT WRONG, not one thing - I'm still waiting for someone to tell me of some disaster that I didn't know of, but there was nothing! Only raves about how good the food was, how beautiful the wedding was, how easy and fun the day was. Sally and Jamie and the crew were just so patient, so kind - with a cool calm energy! My day was so fun, I could be in the moment, I had no anxiety, no uh-ohs, just the experience that Sally helped set up and my husband and I are soooooo happy with our little covid wedding :) We had planned to have another bigger wedding, but our mini one was SO PERFECT I don't think anything else could ever top it! We originally contacted Arluis because we were interested in having our wedding at the ocean front in Waikiki, Moana Chapel. We didn't know that Arluis was able to provide us the entire wedding package service including planning, but we were very glad that they were able to because of the quality of the service they provided to us. We live in SF, so most of the planning was done over the phone and email, but our wedding planner, Sally took the time to communicate with us well and prompt. She communicated with all the vendors for availability and price negotiation, so it made everything easy for us and saved a lot of our time. She was reliable and flexible with all of our requests as well. We also decided to rent our dress/tux at Arluis, because we had a short window of time before the wedding date, and did not have time to get all the necessary items. The rental also included shoes and accessories, and they did all the adjustments for us when we arrived to Waikiki 2 days before the wedding, so this was definitely a time saver for us! The ceremony was well planned and went smoothly. Photos and the video that were also included in the package turned out beautifully as well!

Sally and her team just made everything so smooth and stress free! We only could plan the ceremony due to COVID. The whole day went by so fast since the timeline was just so tight. Sally made it possible for me to focus on the important moments and just enjoy the whole experience rather than stress about the little things. Every conversation I had with her made me feel like I was having a conversation with a close friend - comfortable, empathetic, kind, and understanding. Sally has such a sharp eye for detail - there were times when she would catch something in the photo sessions that the photographers didn’t catch to make the photo fabulous.
