A historic Victorian ballroom in downtown Portland, Oregon, Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom is the perfect spot for your wedding and reception. Simplistic beauty full of love and enthusiasm!
Living in Nashville, TN and planning a wedding in Portland, OR in four months time was not ideal, but it could not have turned out better which is in large part to the greatness of the Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom and the amazing staff - especially Jessie! The online photos do not do justice to the beauty of the venue, but are an accurate portrayal of the size and amenities.
Jessie was AMAZING! She was enthusiastic and responsive to each email and clearly understood our vision and what was important to us as a couple on our big day. We were so grateful to not feel pressured to include anything in the ceremony or throughout the night because we were "supposed" to include it. From sending me a checklist of everything I was responsible for bringing to the rehearsal, to coordinating with all of our vendors (even the ones not on her preferred vendor list) from keeping me calm in the bridal suite when someone in our wedding party was 30 minutes late - she went above and beyond what is expected of a ceremony and reception site coordinator and always with a smile and genuine affection for us!
In the end, the guests only care about the food and booze, which were all amazing! Our cocktail hour was held in the balcony with mini quiches and an assortment of vegetables and dip. For the meal, we chose buffet style with salad, roasted potatoes, grilled asparagus, baked chicken with Alfredo sauce and mushrooms, baked salmon, and vegetable lasagna. All of it was delicious and our guests still mention how much they enjoyed the food! Even the strong carnivores (which there were several southern meat lovers in attendance) bragged on the vegetarian dishes. Also, everyone appreciated the variety of beer and wines available to choose from.
Our day was very much reflective of the simplicity, joy and love we share as a couple and was every bit exactly what we wanted. We would not have had such an amazing experience without the Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom and the greatness that is Jessie!

Perfect setting, perfect day
I’m one of those girls who has been planning my wedding since I was 10 years old. I’ve always had ideas swirling in my head and on my Pinterest board but was not able to visualize anything concrete until my husband and I met Jessie and her amazing team at the Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom. She used her years of experience to help us talk through every aspect of our ceremony and reception and weigh the pros and cons of every little decision.
Jessie is way more than just the run of the mill coordinator that helps with “day of” logistics as is common with many other venues. She met with us nearly monthly and emailed with us as often as we needed. She would always fit us in if we wanted to drop by to show family the venue or to answer any questions we had.
We didn’t have to rent or buy anything but special decorations because the Adrianna Hill has everything you could possibly need. They also do ALL the set up and tear down. When our wedding was over my husband and i went back to our hotel room at the Paramount and Jessie had already brought all of our belongings and gifts to the room. Her staff packed up and loaded everything we brought into my parent’s car at the end of the night and my family didn’t have to worry about anything.
Our entire day went off seamlessly. From the timing of everything (coordinated and executed moment by moment by Jessie), to the beautiful way our decorations were arranged, to the food. People are still telling us how much they loved our food. We were able to decide whether we wanted to use the ballroom’s own chef or hire outside catering and we chose to use theirs because the price was unbeatable and we have never tasted more delicious wedding food. We had the beef tenderloin, vegetarian lasagna, Swedish meatballs, roasted potatoes, asparagus, salad, rolls, and tray passed appetizers. We still crave our wedding food because it was THAT good.
I could go on and on about the benefits of getting married at the Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom but you will feel it for yourself the second you step into the venue and meet with Jessie. We could not have dreamed of a more perfect day.

If your dream wedding includes a venue that is elegant and timeless, then the Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom is the place for you. The architecture, especially the gorgeous u-shaped balcony, is breathtaking, as is the decor, from the expansive blue ceiling to the classy artwork on the walls. The attention to detail and love that goes into running the ballroom is evident, and the heartbeat of this entire venue is its coordinator, Jessie. She will not just be your event planner, she will be your lifeline! Jessie has thought of every minute detail and will guide you through the whole wedding process from beginning to end. Our wedding was flawless thanks to her knowledge, experience, responsiveness, and the support of her amazing staff. One of the traits that my husband and I really appreciate about Jessie is her honest, straightforward approach. She successfully helps couples create and fulfill their vision, but she is grounded, realistic, and offers sensible solutions and advice. She never pushed frivolous ideas that would cost unnecessary money, was well-centered in tradition, but open and encouraging of us expressing our personalities in our own quirky ways, such as incorporating my love of dinosaurs playfully yet tastefully. We held both our wedding and reception at the ballroom and the transition between the two events felt effortless. Jessie’s crew runs like a well-oiled machine, and if there was ever any stress throughout the day, it was never felt by the bride, groom, wedding party, or guests, because Jessie took care of everything behind the scenes with poise and grace. Throughout the months of meetings in preparation for the big day, Jessie became an invaluable member of our team, like part of the family! The ballroom has everything you need for the perfect event- romantic ambience, delicious gourmet dinner selections, and a touch of whimsy- truly a place with a fairy-tale essence where you'll find yourself well on your way to your own happy-ever-after.
The Adrianna is one of our favorite locations to shoot photos or video! Its great downtown location make for some of the most breath-taking shots (especially amid the city lights after dark), and Jessie is hands-down THE best planner and coordinator to work with!
I am constantly amazed how Jesse makes the bride and groom the center of her full attention. There isn't one detail that is left to chance. She is so excited to be working with the couple and their families. The food is very good and they set up the room so that eveyone has the perfect seat.
