About
"You would be remiss to not hire Adam." - Lee J.
Being a photographer is a weird gig. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it just is.
In what other profession are you contacted and asked to be invited into a complete stranger's life as well as their closest family and friends? And not just invited in, but asked to document it? This sort of connection between couple and photographer is one of the very few, the only others being with your other wedding vendors.
This is not a facet that is lost on me. In fact, it's the connection that takes place that is my favorite part of the process. The part where you share beyond just your wedding story and we share, down to Earth, real access to this season of our lives.
The thing about your wedding is that you and your partner are what makes it unique. Every wedding has folks getting ready, does or doesn't have a first look, has a ceremony, has a wedding party, has a reception, and has an ending. Very few weddings diverge from that, so it's in the getting to know you and the access to your every day and what's good and what's hard that translates to better photos; that translates to YOUR wedding.
I've been married for over 15 years, and I've learned that marriage is not for the faint of heart. It is not something you can set and forget. Some days it's like a bad chili and some days it like the best meal you've had in your life. Like any relationship from the one with your partner to your friends to your parents and even to your wedding photographer, it is built on vulnerability, shared happiness, deep connection, and open communication. The better all of those are the better the experience is, so I am an open book with my couples. I don't do what I do just to snap a few photos, I do this because every connection is an opportunity to help each other evolve, to sink a little deeper, and be more intentional.
Does this resonate with you? Are you are looking for a wedding photographer that goes beyond the surface level? Is your hope to find someone to help guide you through this process professionally and compassionately? Are you wanting to look back on your photos and this time in your life and not just remember them but to be able to feel them and remember why you did any of this marriage stuff at all? If so, I'd love to schedule our first call and share how I can be that person for you.
Looking forward to speaking with you both.
