The Graylyn Estate is a historic wedding venue located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This 85-room boutique hotel and special events venue prides themselves on their experienced staff and romantic elegance. They offer multiple indoor and outdoor settings for all of a couple's wedding-related events on their 55-acre property. This team can't wait to help bring a wedding vision to life.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples can accommodate up to 150 guests at this luxurious venue. For a ceremony, to-be-weds can get married in their White Garden, located on the southwest lawn of the Manor House. It features a stone gazebo, beautiful terrace, and year-round white blooming flowers. Another option for “I do's” is their Rose Garden. It’s perfect for intimate ceremonies and is situated in the cottage-style Mews. For a reception, a couple can dance the night away in the Living Room Wing. Guests will enter through their 15th-century French carved doorway in their main entrance hall, and feel like they stepped back in time. This wing features the Living Room, outdoor terraces, and Atlantis Room. Alternatively, a smaller gathering can celebrate in the Dining Room Wing. This space boasts the Main Dining Room, Dining Room Porch, and the Library, featuring rare Louis XV paneling on the walls.

The Graylyn Estate has been a part of the wedding industry for over 25 years. Their experienced staff will assist each couple with event planning to ensure their special day is everything they dreamed it to be. They have get-ready rooms to start a big day in, as well as an in-house bar. There’s plenty of parking for guests and an in-house caterer to meet all culinary needs. Accommodation
The Graylyn Estate offers five distinct buildings with 85 uniquely decorated guest rooms for loved ones to choose between. The Manor House features 34 rooms dating back to the 1930s, including two luxurious suites. Bernard Cottage sleeps 12 to 24 guests in nine different bedrooms. It’s perfect for the families of the couple. Bungalows offer privacy in the heart of the estate grounds. The Mews is a French-cottage-inspired residence featuring 35 guest rooms. Gardener’s Cottage is a quaint, distinct, and private space originally home to the estate’s gardener in 1932. It’s perfect for wedding parties and sleeps 6 to 12 guests.

The exceptional team at Graylyn made everything seamless. Their collaboration with my wedding planner and all of my vendors was effortless, allowing us to focus on enjoying the day. I highly recommend Graylyn Estate for anyone looking for a picturesque venue with top-notch service!
Perfect wedding venue!
The beauty of the surroundings was a source of constant comment and exhilaration from our guests. Small details that we were initially somewhat concerned about in terms of the flow of our schedule worked out beautifully. The different rooms and outdoor spaces created a sense of anticipation, wonder, and surprise at each stage of the wedding celebration.
The Graylyn staff was attentive, warm, and professional. We were so impressed by them. Cindy and Chandler in particular were extremely accommodating and helpful in bringing our vision to light, and worked closely with us to plan everything throughout the course of a year.
The food was delicious and the bartenders were great. The getting-ready rooms for the bridesmaids and groomsmen were perfect spaces. Finally, many of our guests stayed at Graylyn which was really fun and special, as people had traveled from all over. Our guests loved exploring Winston. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
