If you're looking for something really different and unique, I'd love to talk to you about customizing Fretzels (hand-dipped gourmet chocolate covered pretzels) for your wedding. I offer one-piece, two-piece, and three-piece favors, all of which can be personalized with your names, date, colors, theme, etc. Most recently, our one-piece "Tie the Knot" favors were featured by RealSimple on the Today Show. You can check out my website www.fretzels.com or contact me and i would be happy to discuss in more detail.
Sweetly,
Jill

I have about 150 chrome heart wine bottle stoppers in stock. I can set you up with a vendor to buy additional items if needed. You can personalize them by adding personalized ribbons in your wedding color (they sell them on ebay). I am selling these on clearance for $1 each. You can email me at leann@budgetdesignerflorals.com if you are interested. They do make good favors because people can actually use them after the wedding instead of it being something that gets tossed in the trash when they get home. They look really cute with the ribbon bow and presented on the napkins at the place settings.

The wine/fall theme would be great for your wedding too. I have seen some beautiful centerpieces with artificial or fresh grapes and flowers in antique finish urns. You can have a really rich color scheme that time of year - wine, burgundy, plum, brown, black, yellow... all great colors for a wine theme wedding.

I had personalized wine bottles I bought 750mil bottles and gave one per family. I went to Trader Joe's and I got their cheapest wine bottle that was like $3/bottle, and had my own lables on them. Even though its a cheap bottle of wine, it really is very good for the price. I had read so many great reviews on it before purchasing. Remember that if you don't have to give everyone individual favors.

Im the same way, i wanted something unique. You guys are a young couple like us, so you might like our idea, let me know what you think! We bought mesh bags, the smallest ones on the website (www.papermart.com) Just the cheapest ones, i recieved them already and they are nice!! It's a lot of work. But I took a bobby pin and untied all the bags (pain in the ass, but they turned out great) Then i printed out "He slipped the ring upon her finger a promise made for life..." on tags and attached them to the bag.

Then we are going to buy a bulk amount of RING POPS and put them in the bag.

If you like the idea, let me know i can send you a file to our "tags" so you don't have to figure them out, they were a pain. (we put our names and date on one side, and to line it up is a pain!)

we wanted something different for our wedding too. What we did was get little dime sized rosebuds off ebay in our colors, blue and pink along with a white one to pop out the colors. They have 3 inch stems on them so we braided the stems. Afterwards we tied a bow around the stem with a ribbon with our name and date printed on them. it cost like $50 for all the flowers (we actually got 432 of each color) and then $38 for 300 personalized ribbons. It all came from ebay. We are using the leftover flowers to lay around the cake and tables so its not all wasted. They it takes about 2-4 minutes per flower which isnt bad and you have a while like us to do it. ITs fun to do make it with each other and we have great conversation time while making them. If you have any questions feel free to email me candacecaw@hotmail.com. I also love the idea about the ring pop idea, thats cute and unique!

We rented a photobooth. The printouts of the pictures has our names and wedding date at the bottom, and our guests can take the pictures with them as their favor. The company that owns the photobooth will give me a cd after the wedding with all the photos on it. The ring pop idea that someone else had was cute. If it were me though, I would just print the little saying out on a tag and tie it to the bag.

Are you having a theme wedding? What are your colors? We are having a traditional wedding though I love Renaissance and mythical things especially dragons so we are trying to incorporate those into everything. If you have a theme I would try to find favors that are similiar. For instance, I am trying to find inexpensive toasting steins or goblets that I can personalize with our date. I also like the idea of the photo booth. Just remember the internet has millions of ideas that you can "borrow" and make your own. Bless you and good luck!

i ran into the same issue as you, however i also had to keep in mind, most of our guests are traveling so I couldn't do something breakable or too big.

we finally decided on homemade chocolates. Our wedding colors are pink & black and our theme is the fleur de lis/new orleans. So i will be hand making black and pink fleur de lis chocolates and putting them into mini black chinese takeout boxes...and then adding my own personalized label.

First off congrats guys! I always suggest with question like these look to yourselves. Something that is completely you guys will go over best.

What are some favorite things your guys do together?

Where did he propose?

Something from a favorite vacation spot?

When you start looking into your own relationship for something that represents you two you will come up with something really interesting. I had a couple one time that they are big time outdoors wilderness folks. They had found cameo coozies. It completely went with their theme as well.

I know my answer may seem vague but to truly find something unique you will have to look to the unique qualities of your relationship.

For ideas check out Etsy.com.

Try a candy buffet station...

Just choose candy that matches your colors and themes, set ribbons with your monograms and little paper baskets for each guest, and looks beautiful and your guests will enjoy!

For 150 people, only buy 100 party favor items. Trust me. You'll end up with a lot in your car if you do too many. I used orientaltrading.com. They had great little things that I really liked, and they were very affordable.

im looking to be unique with my favors too! bubbles mints and chocolates are what everyone does! So what me and my fiance did was donate an amount of money, we agreed on together, to a charity that meant alot to us. We choose the phoenix childrens hospital. They gave us a book of stories about children who have been helped by the foundation. We typed up a story for every table and put it in a picture frame. We are also going to buy a bag of dinner mints at costco (which is really cheap) and put a small bowl of them next to the picture frame. It was definitely an easier task than creating favors and its was helping someone else out in the process! Hope that helps!
