Paul Rich Studio reviews

HAs anyone used Paul RIch Studio or know someone who has? I am going with this photographer and would like to hear some goods things before i seal the deal with cash.

Well I've never heard of the guy before, but I did google him. Assuming that he is the Paul Rich from Portland, Oregon, then I can give you an opinion. :) My personal opinion is that he didn't knock me on the floor wow me, but that he seems to be pretty consistent. He had some minor lighting issues here and there, and I think some of his group posing leaves a little to be desired, but it's nothing that I think would ruin your wedding pictures. I would, however, ask to see an entire wedding from start to finish, because all of his online albums have less than 30 images, and one would hope that's not the only amount of good images he can get. Make sure you get along well with him and have read thorougly through the contract. Read some of the old posts on WW about problems with photographers (like delivery time, refunds, etc) and make sure those things are as you want them. As long as you are happy with his price and his style follows your aesthetic, you should be good to go. :)

I would question which investment you are considering. He does have some nice photos, but I saw many washed out white sky pics. This could be his style and some appear post processed with softness. I'm not familiar with Portland pricing, is 2400-4000 the norm?

Paul does like 2500 to 3500 photos with 2 photographers and at the end you get like 800 refinsished photos he says that you will take lots of bad photos or may not like the way it looks later and may have some that are better

I'm not a big fan of people that say things that they are not. If he decided to drop from the organization, then he should update his website. Or maybe I just can't find him...

To cathy sorry about that I sent the post to the the one i had already i hit enter on accident. I like the way his photos look make them more personal and the price is pretty commom most people tell me the price is for the albums that i get and all that but the range for the time that i need and travel is up there and i agree about the lighting but all photographers can have some problems with the room or even with a camera so for me its hard to judge when i have seen a lot worse than that

for Memorie studio I found him on there not sure how i did but he came in 7th for the kids photos not sure if it was for 2009 or not so it was hard to find things on there bc they only show the top ten or the top 3 so not sure but that is not what is on my mind just bc he is an award winner is not that big of a deal i don't need somone like that bc they might be more snotty about it. I just want someone to take a photo of my family and really see them in and not a pose photo.
