October 09 Brides
I tried to find the previous post for us, but it was taking too long...hope no one minds my starting another. How are you guys feeling? 30 days out I started getting really happy and excited. That lasted until the beginning of this week, and now I am so stressed! I've had chest pain and anxiety like every day! I don't really have anything to worry about - all the vendors are squared away, only a few details left to arrange (like misc packing for the honeymoon). I am afraid that I will feel this way until everything is literally packed and at the door, waiting to be picked up on my way to the airport (we're marrying out of state). And I've had nightmares every night! Not about the wedding, just something sad about my FH - like other girls constantly flirting with him or something - which is ridiculous b/c nothing like that happens when I am awake. Are you guys doing better than me? More sane?

I'm feeling pretty much the same as you. There's only been 2 times that I've felt like I was having an anxiety attack or something and I PRAY that doesn't happen on my day of! I've gotten mostly everything done too, so I don't know whats with these random freak-outs. And I've had really bizarre dreams also- like my FH leaving me for his ex-girlfriend (whom he hasn't talked to in YEARS).

YAY OCTOBER!!! Those are horrible feelings to get right before your wedding...but I guess when we're anticipating something as exciting as our wedding, our mind plays tricks at us during our sleep. I've had my share of wedding nightmares but so far I'm so excited. As I've been saying, I'm sure once October hits I will start to freak out just a little. I too don't have anything to worry about but it's just the thought of our special day getting closer is nerve-racking! Good luck to you and your FH!

what i did before our wedding was to make a list of all the things i needed to do. like the packing (since our honeymoon was a surprise to me i was very nervous about the packing)but i did the list anyway with all the toiletries and things i thought we might need. long story short, if you make a list of all the things you might need for every event like rehersal dinner, wedding day, hair, nails, all those little things and cross at least one a day reduces your stress inmensely!!! and eases your mind enough to give you a better night's sleep. so get organized, or just go with the flow. don't over think it relax and enjoy!!!

Thanks for the advice Tigger! I've been a list-making-machine these days! I just need to really start checking things off that way I won't feel overwhelmed.

I'm doing good right now...we still have to get the arbor to stand up, and decorated, and we need to do some kind of backdrop for the reception, not sure what to do with that one. Then we wait...the day of is filled with stuff to do, I just hope we can get it all done.

One night this week I had insomnia and I did hundreds of favors all in one shot. At least, I got something done. Then I conked out the next night. There are a lot of minor and MAJOR tasks to still do. I am a procrastinator....so it has been difficult to break the habit. But I must do it. This is it. :)

I just looked at the forecast for our wedding day...it's going to be nice(Hope) but the week of is going to be rainy...we're having our reception in our garden area and IF it rains all week, it's gonna be a muddy mess...so now we are needing some kind of back up plan for it...UGH

I have been pretty cool, I woke up a couple days ago stressing out, but I relaxed and was okay after..then the crazy dreams started but I just ignore them, and I have put some of my work on hold until Sunday FH will be back he just left Iraq from a 15month tour,Thank you! Jesus! and he's coming in from Germany, can't wait to see my man...lol...so I can put him to work, but other than that I am so nervous and excited, I'm shy and not use to being the center of attention .

Oh gershelda I hear you, I'm praying the weather holds out for us too!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I can't view the weather for our area that far in advance. My mom asked me what our back up plan was and I laughed and said, ugh, bring rain boots and an umbrella. LOL she didn't like that too much.

The weather is my MAJOR concern, and I can't look it up that far in advance either. Last weekend it poured, now this week its 100 degrees! My entire wedding is outdoors so I NEED good weather!! I hope it holds out!

Future Mrs. Smith and Kari: go to www.farmersalmanac.com type in your area and it will give the predictions for your area...right now for my area the 9-10 are going to be warm and sunny...but the week before and the week after are suppose to be rainy. It give the "forecast" for this month and next month and I will say, it's been dead on for my area.

eeee, when I was reading this post I decided to make some more lists. I'm going to have way more lists than tasks :) I even made our moms and my bridesmaids read the lists and tell me if I'm forgetting stuff.

OMG- this is my last weekend to get wedding stuff done since I'm out of town next weekend and my boss just asked me to come in to the office! He's pretty intimidating so I can't really say NO. Let the stress begin!!

Six weeks from today. I can't believe we actually made it this far. It's been a long time coming. I'm getting the little details out of the way with discussing favors with my cousin and linens with my sister. All we need now is the seating arrangement finalized, our license, shoes and a meeting with our priest. We've remained calm throughout this whole time and come the week of the wedding, I'm almost positive we will still be calm. I just can't wait to see my family again. Yay!!!
