Married Ladies: Bouquet question..
Hi gals.. DH & I were married almost a week ago and my bouquet is almost on its last leg. I wanted to save a petal or a rose or two or something and put it in a scrapbook or something. I'm not really the scrap-booking type though. Anyway, my question is... what did YOU do to keep a little piece of your bouquet for memories? I only have a few days to figure it out before all the roses are gone and i'm looking for something that won't cost too much. Please advise!

thank!

Nope. I left my bouquet on my grandma's grave. I am having it recreated in clay though for my anniversary gift!

Ooo Analy, that is sweet. You're having someone on Etsy do the clay? If so, how much, might I ask?

Mrs B. Is it holding up okay just being dried? Btw, how'd you dry it? I've heard that you can hang it upside down for a few days or something?

I hung mine up upside down in a closet we never used for 2 weeks or so, then I sprayed it with hairspray and it has been sitting in a vase above our fireplace for over a year now.

Dried it out and then bought one of those basketball display cases... it has a mirror at the back of the box, so I put the flowers in there, with my tiarra, garter, his flower, our shotglass favor... and the flowers reflects off the mirror, and our cake topper sits ontop of the box.

We had two bridal bouquets. We gave one to the only guest who lived in the area of our ceremony. We gave the other to the staff of the synagogue where we got married. I have no idea what the MOH did with hers. However, since she was having to fly back home the next day, I suspect it got left behind.

We had fake gorgeous flowers..mine are sitting in a tall vase with stones in it on one of our bookshelves and all of my girls kept theirs in skinny vases too :-)

Oh also..this is a "weird" suggestion..when my gma passed away I was able to "preserve" one of her flowers from my bouqet and they put it in an airtight..thick display. It's gorgeous. It went thru the funeral home but I think a floral shop did it and it was only 20 bucks.
