For the Florists out there

I need a little feedback on the flowers I'd like to use and what other flowers may go with them. Let me first state that we're having our wedding in the summer, and our colors are orange, yellow, with a little pink and mint green.
The 3 flowers we are using are tulips, daffodils and butterfly weeds. Any suggestions on what other flowers could go with these and stay in our color scheme?

Have you maybe thought about adding some roses in there? Roses are the perfect flower for every event, and for every station. Im working for a flower vendeor now, and we have beautiful roses, they are exported directly from Ecuador, I used themm for my sisters wedding, and we just got a great review from all the guests....jeje.. i don´t know take a look we have beautiful orange, yellow, green and pink flowers.. maybe try these Bengala(orange) Gold strike(yellow) Jade(green) Malibu Pink and White ( light pink). Hope this helps a little. you can visit the website www.flowerexplosion.com or check it out through face book and twitter.

if you're getting married in the summer, you may want to re-think your initial ideas....tulips and daffodils are both winter/spring flowers (january through april/may) and though tulips can be bought in the summer, they're much more costly. it may help you to flip through magazines to get more of an idea of the types of flowers you like, and then meet with your florist to discuss it further. summer flowers that have the simple, natural and gardeny feel you seem to be drawn to would include dahlias, zinnias, snapdragons, roses, spray roses, etc.

Gerbera's come in a wide range of colors, so you could do the orange and/or yellow. For the pink you could use wax flower, but those are more available December - May. Peonies also come in a number of colors and are more available from March - June.
Chrysanthemum's are also available in a variety of colors and are available year round.
It really depends on what feel you want your flowers to portray. Flowers can paint so many pictures and tell so many stories! If you want a young and little more modern feel to your wedding, then I would suggest Gerbs.
If you want more of a garden elegance, I would recommend some light yellow roses, some orange ranunculus, the pink waxflower and some curly willow with various textures of greens.
Good luck!

Daffodils will not be available in the summer. Tulips probably will be, but they will be expensive, possibly. For the "mint" green, I'd recommend eucalyptus, dusty miller, or lamb's ear as foliages, they are all kind of a silvery-gray-green. There are so many flowers to choose from, but you need to know that they are in season. I would recommend going to www.ubloom.com and choose "Flower Guide". You can choose your month and the colors you want and it will show you what is in season! It is a great tool! Good luck!

As a florist I would suggest peonies, different types of lilies and orchids- those are all gorgeous flowers that are at their prime in the summer!

You could also incorporate accessories like gems, pearl sprays, etc. in the mint green color. Many of us carry the little "extras" that can incorporate your other colors. I would also recommend Rio Orange Unique roses for a touch of orange--simply GORGEOUS! And even go to SierraFlowerFinder.com. It lets you seach by so many different methods that it may give you an idea of some things to ask about.
