Did you try the hotels in Brooklyn? I know there aren't a lot that are very elegant by the look of the outside, but some of their banquet rooms can be pretty nice.

Jamila.. have you thought about Westchester area? I know its not exactly "close" ...but the if the price and the feel is right.. something slightly north of you might work.. check Yonkers or maybe New Rochelle.. Pelham..Bronxville.. best of luck! xoxo

Jamila, there are lots of venues in Brooklyn. I actually had my daughter's Sweet Sixteen Party at Grand Prospect Hall. Beautiful venue. Happy searching. You've got time.
