We hired a charter bus and the 6-seater SUV for our wedding and both pickup and drop offs went without any problem. I worked with Sara to book the services and she is fantastic! She is so communicative and answered all of my questions and made multiple revisions to the reservation. I was stressed because we needed the bus to pick up guests at two hotels and she helped me work out the timing for both to get to the venue on time. The guests said the ride was smooth and bus was super clean. The SUV service was also wonderful. It ended raining on the wedding day but the driver helped as much as he could to make sure l and my mom and bridesmaids were covered by umbrellas and parked as close to the front of the building as possible. Just a wonderful experience from booking to drop off!

Nancy was great to work with; she was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about so many of the places we were looking to honeymoon and she helped us easily narrow down where we could go with what we wanted out of the trip and budget we had. It was the best decision to have Nancy do all our travel research for me as I was so busy with wedding planning. We waited too long to decide to book the initial resort we wanted to stay at, but Nancy quickly found another resort that was of similar amenities and price point. We are so glad that happened because we loved our resort (Now Jade, Riviera Cancun, Mexico) and we want to travel to all the resorts in the Now brand. So Nancy, you'll be seeing more of us! Our honeymoon was wonderful! Thank you for your help and insight, Nancy!

I booked Chrissy for my wedding on October 28, 2023. She was absolutely incredible! Chrissy was very detailed with her communication and always quick to respond. She was so easy to talk to and made everyone feel so comfortable and confident. Her very sweet and fun personality made our morning go by so well. She was great with her timing and we had some extra time built in our schedule as a buffer, we never needed it. I absolutely recommend Chrissy!!

Jonathan was great! We received so many compliments about our photographer. He did a great job capturing our special day! I hate having my picture taken and be made me feel so confident and comfortable! Would highly recommend!!

We had a great experience working with Pastor Love and his secretary. They were flexible and accommodating and Pastor Love did a great job bringing our vision for our ceremony to life.

Melissa was referred by a friend, so before having our engagement pictures we did not meet her. She was great before we met with asking questions about us to have a better idea on our personalities and interests. When we had our engagement pictures done Melissa made us feel comfortable and very fun for us. The best part was receiving our pictures a week after our engagement shoot even though Melissa said 2-4 weeks. She did an amazing job and our pictures couldn’t be anymore perfect. We definitely plan on having Melissa as our wedding photographer!

Admittedly, I knew Kevin from around the way growing up. I didn’t have any first hand experience with him doing photos, but wanted to hire him for my wedding because it meant a lot to me to hire small owned or black owned businesses, especially someone from around my town. He ended up taking the best photos I could ever imagine. Our wedding was the best day ever, and Kevin put so much work and passion behind his craft. His partner, Kendrick, and him gave me their very best and I could tell he knew what he was doing when he told my family and I how to position ourselves and what poses to take. He’s a true professional, very gifted, and was a pleasure to work with. Believe he is one of the best in the DMV and he is worth the price. My engagement photos were also stunning and I couldn’t ask for better photography service. Also, his photo booth was a huge hit at my wedding. He truly is worth hiring and I would recommend him 10/10.

Ms. Teejah Fitchette and the team from Black Orchid Events did an outstanding job for my daughter’s wedding. From the initial intake completed by Teejah in gathering my daughter’s vision for the wedding, through the meetings that followed to pull the vision together, to executing the plan on the wedding day, and to the follow-up to take place after the wedding - excellent service! I was very impressed with the calmness and assurance shown by Teejah and her team in executing the wedding plans of the day. Everything went smoothly as planned on the day of the wedding and that is a testament to the excellent coordination and planning done by Black Orchids Events! Job well done!!!!!

Donna was great! She really worked with me to make sure my dress was perfect. I loved how accommodating she was to my schedule. She was very welcoming and friendly and she did a beautiful job on my dress alterations!
