DJ Jason exceeded our expectations in every way, from beginning to end. Early into the planning Jason let us know he had never been to our venue and took it upon himself to tour the reception and ceremony sites with our venue coordinator to familiarize himself with the areas. He also approached every conversation and request with a confidence and professionalism that always put us at ease. When our ceremony venue changed just 2 weeks prior to the wedding, Jason said no problem. When I asked Jason to do a little remixing to make one particular line in one of our songs stand out on the dance floor, he had no hesitations. Day of, Jason perfectly delivered. We had about 3 hours of dance floor time and it was the greatest fun I’ve ever had. He played every song we requested and understood the vibe to keep the dance floor bumping until 11pm. Genuinely I could not ask for anything better. I would recommend Jason to anyone and everyone.

I am really happy that we hired DJ Jason Burns for our wedding. His sound and light systems were very high quality. He was great at timeline management, MC-ing, crowd-reading, and on-the-spot improvisation. Let me give you specifics:

He knows how to read a crowd and keep the energy up. We had 60 guests, and more than half were older folks or friends that don’t really like to get up and dance. Somehow, DJ Jason kept the dancefloor packed the entire night.

Jason’s contribution to a perfect wedding spanned far beyond just the dancefloor. He has a website that you use to manage the ceremony timeline and reception song list. It was great- it allowed us to start planning our must-play and do-not-play songs months in advance. He also met with us a little before the wedding so that we could discuss everything over the phone and be on the same page. He was VERY thorough. I highly recommend Jason if you’re a Type-A bride.

On the wedding day, he set up for the evening quickly, seamlessly, and out of the way- I honestly didn’t even notice he was there. The ceremony proceeded seamlessly and the sound quality was great, which is a huge testament to his equipment and skill because it was very windy and there was no wind noise from the microphones. He helped the flow of the ceremony and was really good at on-the-spot improvisation. The song we chose for the processional wasn’t long enough, and he managed to re-play it seamlessly so that nobody noticed. Our officiant forgot to stop speaking for the bridal entrance, and Jason was able to start the music queue to get everyone back on track without the guests even noticing.

With our permission and after running it by us, Jason took some creative liberty for our wedding party entrances at the start of the reception. His idea was so awesome and really contributed to an awesome start to the reception. Jason is really great at MC-ing and was able to start the reception off with a ton of excitement and energy. We also fell way behind in our timeline for the reception, and Jason was able to flawlessly catch us back up. He honestly single-handedly saved our reception and we ended up opening the dancefloor only 10 minutes late even though we had been 30 minutes behind.

Jason was really great with music requests. You have the choice to allow or not allow requests. We chose to allow them, but he only heeded requests that fit the vibe. We had also requested that he not play any slow songs without us on the dancefloor. He actually sent somebody to run and track us down before each slow song to make sure we were there!

I could write a novel about how great Jason was for our wedding. Definitely hire him for your wedding- it was the best choice we made.

Jason was great. We wanted a DJ who can work with a bit more of a chill crowd, and we didn't want someone who would fill the night with cheesy commentary or create a rave atmosphere. Jason was prompt, professional, very kind, and kept our dance floor surprisingly full given our late-30s crowd! He kept all announcements on time, made sure we had good sound at the ceremony. He was also flexible when I was slow to get him our song choices, and let me curate an entire dinner playlist. Finally, Jason is very affordable. From pre-ceremony music through the sparkler exit, every song, transition, and announcement was seamless. Guests kept telling us how perfect the music was all night!

He stuck to our timeline effortlessly, patiently fielded my many questions and updates, and took our last-minute changes to ceremony music and lighting completely in stride. We were even able to share curated Spotify playlists outside of his portal, which he kindly incorporated into the flow of the day.
