Ms. Teejah Fitchette and the team from Black Orchid Events did an outstanding job for my daughter’s wedding. From the initial intake completed by Teejah in gathering my daughter’s vision for the wedding, through the meetings that followed to pull the vision together, to executing the plan on the wedding day, and to the follow-up to take place after the wedding - excellent service! I was very impressed with the calmness and assurance shown by Teejah and her team in executing the wedding plans of the day. Everything went smoothly as planned on the day of the wedding and that is a testament to the excellent coordination and planning done by Black Orchids Events! Job well done!!!!!

Where do I begin? Teejah is absolutely amazing! I had my wedding planned out and then Covid hit, which prompted a date and venue change. I was not looking for a wedding planner at this point, but my friend sent me Teejah’s information and I couldn’t help but look into her services. Initially I was only interested in her partial wedding planning and coordination services. We had our first meeting and I was blown away with her professionalism and creativity. As life happened, I ended up going with her full planning and design services. I couldn’t have been any happier with this decision. Teejah was extremely helpful. She kept me sane and calm throughout the entire stressful process. She responded to every text, email, and phone call promptly and was always extremely professional. She also made it very apparent that she cared about my husband and I from the moment we started the process to the very end when we walked out of our reception as husband and wife. I can not thank Teejah enough for helping me make my dream wedding a reality. If I could change anything about my experience it would be that I would have hired Teejah sooner! I used the day of event coordination package. I cannot say enough how amazing BOE was in helping to make my wedding day perfect! My day was stress free thanks to Teejah. She created a comprehensive timeline, followed up with vendors, provided software to visualize layout, seating arrangements, and more! Highly recommend for any kind of event!

Working with Teejah and Black Orchid Events was a game-changer for our wedding planning. I decided to work with Teejah after interviewing 10 other potential wedding coordinators. I have some event planning experience and did most of the initial planning myself, but I needed someone who could help me get everything over the final finish line as a “Day Of” Coordinator. That term should be updated to be “Final Stretch” Coordinator or something more honest to the work that’s involved.

I contracted with Teejah 3 months before our wedding. What Teejah provided was invaluable and that was peace of mind. She conducted site visits, we had our planning phone calls and a plethora of emails. I had someone to bounce ideas off of, to brainstorm, ask questions, raise issues and concerns and problem solve not only a fix, but something that was better than the original plan. Here’s an example. I didn’t want to do a bouquet toss, but I wanted to do something meaningful with the bouquet. Teejah suggested that I present the bouquet to a dear family member as a tribute for what they mean to me. That heartfelt gesture meant so much to my aunt and to me and I’m grateful to Teejah for thinking of it and setting it up.

Working with Teejah was an absolute pleasure too. She’s highly organized, highly communicative and responsive, and just fun, personable, and caring about your needs and concerns for your wedding. She shows how much she cares about you and your ceremony in her level of detail and work. Here’s another way that you know she’s a top notch pro - all of my other vendors (photographers, venue, hotel, DJ, entertainment, stylist, etc.) all commented (unprompted) about how much they enjoyed working with her and made their jobs easier too.

I cannot recommend her highly enough!! I’m sitting here trying to think of other events just so that I can work with her again. You get to feel close to your wedding coordinator, particularly in the crunch times. I’m so thankful that I had Teejah in my corner taking care of the final details so that I could do what I should be doing - enjoying our wedding with my new husband.
