Sara was one of my favorite vendors to work with. She was so easy to get in touch with throughout the planning process, responding quickly to any questions and anticipating different issues that may come up on the day itself. She was flexible and professional and so lovely to have around during the day. She and her assistant captured the day amazingly - the photos of our wedding have surpassed even our highest expectations. I have gotten so many compliments on our wedding photos because Sara captured all the joy and happiness from the day, in a really natural and beautiful way. I'm looking forward to working with Sara to capture all the big milestones in my life. She's an amazing photographer to work with, incredibly professional and wonderfully skilled at what she does.

Sara was the only photographer we interviewed and our choice to photo our wedding. She was local and very easy to work with and flexible with her schedule. She always communicated right away and has competitive prices for the area including Portland and the Willamette Valley. There were only a couple things we wished were done differently, including not feeling so rushed to get photos before the wedding and we feel we missed out on more family photos that we asked for. Our album has a lot of wasted space (a lot of empty white on the pages) where additional pictures could have been included rather than only getting to pick a limited number out of over 500 pictures. We also thought there would be a lot more "creative" photos, especially given our outdoor venue and offsite reception. We felt the original interview with Sara showed a lot more creative shots, so that's what we anticipated, so we feel our money could have went further given the cost of wedding photography. Overall all though the engagement photos were awesome, most of our wedding pictures were ok, and Sara was a pleasure to work with.

Just wanted to join the hordes of gushing fans....Sara Lil Photography is just as wonderful as everyone says. Choosing a great photographer was the number one priority when planning our wedding, and all the research online paid off! Where to start?

Sara's photos are gorgeous and unique, she worked with me to create a package I could afford, and she returns all emails quickly and with a level of warmth and sincerity that's hard to find. She's a joy to have around on the day of- she's fun and friendly while remaining very professional. While we were taking photos with her we had a blast, and while we were focused on other things (like getting married) she completely melted into the background while still capturing fantastic images. She listened very carefully and took to heart everything we said we wanted. She even got the images back to us much more quickly than expected! She was an all-around joy to work with and we're so glad she was a part of our wedding. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

Sara was our first decision we made for our wedding and definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We hired her to do our engagement photos and all of our photos for our big day! She was so easy to work with. She has such a creative talent that she comes up with amazing shots. She made us feel so comfortable with her that it was easy to relax and let our love for each other shine through in her photos. She was very professional, prompt, and easy to get a hold of when I needed her. The end result of all of our photographs was incredible. She even wrote over the rights to me for all of the photos and burnt them on a disk. It was a fabulous experience working with Sara and I would love for her to photograph our next event!

Words cannot describe how much we absolutely love the work that Sara Lil did for us! Every image is beautiful and captures every moment wonderfully. I could not be happier with how the photos turned out, they all have a fabulous artistic style that really makes every moment you capture special. They put me right back into the moment of that day! The book she includes with the disk, it makes it much easier to go through the disk, however all of the pictures are so fabulous that it makes it extremely hard to pick only a couple out of all of them. I love working with her and I hope to work with her for many life events in my future!

After researching photographers for our June wedding I stumbled upon Sara Lil's website. I absolutely fell in love with her style. She captures moments and finds the true personality of the people she is photographing. On my wedding day, I was so impressed with her professionalism, her warm personality, and how memorable she made the whole experience. I knew the pictures would be great but I was seriously blown away at how beautiful our photos turned out and everyone had nothing but praises at the wonderful job she did. The day we walked into Sara's studio and looked at her displays, we knew she was the photographer for our wedding. With a bride who is all about taking pictures all the time, and a groom who hates even the thought of it, Sara knew exactly how to create the most beautiful memories of our special day. She knows how to take the tedious job of capturing family and friends and the "hustle and bustle" of the day, and turn your pictures into art. I have been a part of many weddings and feel as if Sara made this the easiest and most fun part of the day. Which is many times not the case:) I hardly even remember having to stop and pose. We told Sara to move around freely and just capture anything and everything. When we got the pictures back 6 weeks later, I just cried! I was so excited to see the candid shots of family, friends, and memories already in the past, come right back to life. Much better than any video could capture. We thank her so very much for her hard work, professionalism and talented gifts. We are lucky to have worked with such a talented photographer.

The groom and I are both from out-of-state and were planning a destination wedding. Sara came recommended to us from some photographers in our area that had met her at a workshop previously. We contacted her and were working out details for both the engagement session and the wedding day almost immediately. She is very motivated, friendly, responsive, and accommodating. She was willing to meet us at different locations for the engagement session and the wedding day (neither of which was near her hometown) and was very enthusiastic. She made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera and encouraged us to be creative. She is also very affordable and there are many different combinations of services to choose from so you can find a combination to fit in your budget. Unfortunately for Sara, she had many personal tragedies before and after our wedding date but still never took more than a day to respond to any of our questions. She is a trooper and we could not be happier with both the experiences that she gave us as well as the images that resulted. We would HIGHLY recommended her to anyone and would choose her again in a heartbeat!

Of all the people I had to deal with to pull this wedding off, Sara was the kindest, professional, flexible and worth every single penny I paid. I would recomend her to anybody. If you want to preserve your memories call this woman.

We were delighted when Sara agreed to photograph our wedding (on her birthday none-the-less!). I had investigated several local photographers and had my sights set on hiring Sara due to her innovative and earthy, yet contemporary style. As we'd anticipated, Sara's images of our special day are uniquely beautiful. Of notice are her eye for traditional as well as candid moments as well as her unique use of angle/perspective.

Practically speaking, Sara was very easy to work with and maintained a professional demeanor and attitude during all phases of planning. She arrived on time with many creative ideas to capture our day. Sara was clear in her communications as well as prompt in delivery of services, receipts, email contact and telephone messages. Personally, Sara was warm and dedicated. I felt as though our was the only wedding she was focusing on and that she had as much concern for capturing our day as I did.

We had a terrific experience with Sara...and our pictures are above and beyond what we expected. I would recommend Sara, without hesitation, for weddings or any other event. She is a gem of a person and a true artist who's professionalism is would be difficult to surpass. Lastly, I feel it essential to note that Sara's relaxed, yet highly professional, style was an excellent fit for us. My husband is shy and does not enjoy posing for photos. Sara's sweet nature put him at ease. This was something that was high on our list of priorities and Sara was able to delivery this due to her warm nature. Sara did an absolutely WONDERFUL job capturing our wedding day. She is an exceptionally TALENTED photographer who obviously takes pride in her work. Our wedding pictures are more than we could have ever asked for and not a single detail was left out! Sara had so many great, UNIQUE ideas that fit perfectly with our personalities, our wedding party and the overall feeling of the wedding day. Sara was excellent! Punctual, fun to work with, and her images were outstanding! We have one of our pictures up from our ceremony in our house, and everyone comments on it! Sara photographed my wedding a few years ago and I still very much cherish the images she created from my wedding day. She is a very talented artist and a lot of fun to be around!
