  BOOK HIM!!!! DO NOT EVEN LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! He is seriously amazing!!! Just look at his pictures?! Do they not speak enough for themselves?! This is your WEDDING!!! Do not settle for "ok" pictures, go for "AMAZING!!". I still have people to this day come up to me and tell me how wonderful my pictures are and how they show everyone because of how magical they are. What more could a girl want?! 100 STARS!!

  Phil was so much fun! We had a blast for our elopement. Super enthusiastic and it shows in his work. His photos are amazingly beautiful and we cannot wait to see the finished product. He is also very familiar with the area and was very helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend Phil Chester for wedding photography!

  Phil is AMAZING! He was our photographer for our August wedding this year in Tacoma, WA and he also shot our engagement session last winter. Can't write enough about this guy. He's clearly talented and genuinely makes you feel like you're a friend rather than just a client. We were so impressed with how our engagement photos turned out, they caught real emotion in the pictures, told a story.. and that's the kind of style we love. Super stoked to get our wedding photos :-) Needless to say we would highly recommend him, he's worth every penny!

  Phil is absolutely the best photographer ever! We loved our experience with him - meetings, engagement photos, and the wedding. He not only takes amazing photos but also makes you feel relaxed and the shots don't feel posed or staged. I have only positive things to say about the whole experience. Highly recommended!!

  Phil did a fantastic job for us with his wonderful photography.
  
  He flew out to Colorado for our engagement shoot where he got some amazing shots, and a year later came back for our wedding.
  
  He is a tremendously calming presence and easy to relax around when taking photos. All of our friends and family loved him, and the photos have all been fantastic!

  Phil did a fabulous job on our wedding photos. We met the week before the wedding at our venue and went over different photo locations and specific shots we wanted. He was very easy to talk with and had great ideas. We were happy with Phil because we got our pictures after the ceremony done very quickly so that we could get back to celebrating with our friends and family. After the wedding he got the photos to us very quickly. Phil has a very distinct artistic style that we really loved. Our pictures really stand out and he did a great job capturing our big day!

  Phil Chester was absolutely amazing. I've known Phil for many years, and I knew he's always been a very talented/creative/cutting edge guy, and knew I wanted to work with him for my wedding. After seeing his website of recent photography (phillipchester.com) I knew that his aesthetic style was exactly what we were looking for. He has a unique edge that’s fresh and modern and I told him I trusted him to shoot anyway he wanted- total free reign. The pictures turned out stunning and we couldn’t be happier. Everyone kept raving about how professional and stylish they are- definitely not the cheesy-staged-average wedding photos you normally see! I will continue to work with him for all my future events and highly recommend him.

  Phillip did an amazing job with our photos. Every single person that have seen the photos said they looked straight out of a magazine. Phillip was extremely professional and thorough. He scouted out areas of downtown that would provide the best set up for photos of our Dec wedding. We had a very large bridal party (8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen). He was able to efficiently organize the bridal party and made sure every shot looked great. The bridal party commented on how relaxed he made every one feel and put everyone at ease. He also did a wonderful job of getting candid shots throughout the evening. He was very prompt with having previews of the photos (which was very exciting). I would highly recommend Phillip to any couple looking for an accomplished photgrapher who will provide the most excellent photos of your special day.

  Phillip did a great job shooting my wedding! He was fun to work with and super easy to communicate with! I was super happy with the photos, he took a ton of photos and they all came out great!

  Phil is incredible in every sense of the word---immensely talented, easy to get along with, and an amazingly calming presence. He feels like an old friend the second you meet him. We flew him out to Columbus for both our engagement photos last year and our wedding in April. He did such a wonderful job with our engagement photos and I can't wait to see our wedding photos as well. I would recommend him to anyone looking to capture an important time in their lives (whether it be wedding-related or otherwise)!

  Phil is incredible and his photos are works of art. He is easy going, calm and integrated so easily into our wedding. Our photos are fantastic and will be something we will have forever now that all the hoopla is over. Wedding photography is expensive, but when you think about what you are investing in its one of the most important parts of this moment in your life together.

  Amazing photos, disappointing experience

  I'll start by saying our wedding photos are undeniably beautiful, Phil's taste and camera expertise are on point. Our images are timeless and we will cherish them forever. Unfortunately our experience throughout the process was disappointing, anxiety provoking, and inevitably left us feeling like just a number in a sea of clients.
  - We paid for the 6hr package but Phil left the wedding slightly early saying he felt that the photo taking part of the evening was over.
  -The package we paid for said we would receive an online gallery + a USB of all of our images, although we only received an online gallery of the images for us to download.
  -Our final photos were late, when the deadline passed we waited anxiously refreshing our email, we ended up having to follow up with Phil instead of receiving an email from him letting us know why they were late and when we could be expecting them.
  -When the email for the final images came, one of two unfortunate things must have happened. Either the email Phil wrote was copy and pasted from another couple or he had forgotten the details of who we were.
  -Almost all emails we exchanged throughout the planning process and after the wedding had to be followed up with a second email after one to two weeks before we received a response.
  -There were a handful of images where my bra was showing so I asked Phil if he would mind taking another look to help edit that out. I made sure to only pick 5 or so that were truly irreplaceable. Phil said he would try his best, but after waiting a month for the edited images he told us these were out of his area of expertise and recommended we pay a retoucher to edit them. Is it Phil's fault that my bra was showing? Absolutely not. However for the price we paid, I feel like this level of photo editing should be expected. If anything, we would have expected him to pay the retoucher on his end of the fee if this type of editing was something he didn't feel comfortable doing. In the end we decided not to push the issue because we were ready to be done with the back and forth.
