I run the risk of sounding sappy but when I first met with Julie - I felt like I was talking to a friend I had known for years. She was our absolute favorite vendor to work with and if I could give Petalena more stars, I would!

At our first meeting, I showed her my wedding flower vision based on a scattering of flower photos I compiled on my iPad. I explained the overall look I was going for and Julie absolutely got the look I had in mind. Julie even went out of her way and met with us at our house to go over final details and at the ceremony site to go over set-up and pick up items for the day of (she went above and beyond).

Our wedding flowers were... AHHHH-MAZING! Julie had all the bouquets wrapped in beautiful antique lace that fit perfectly with our theme. We had a gorgeous arch set-up with blooms that were similar but still unique from the rest of our flowers. We also had lovely boutonnieres, cocktail hour hour centerpieces and flowers for my hair.

Needless to say, I LOVE & highly recommend Petalena :).

Stop looking - if you care about your flowers and have a vision, Petalena are the designers that will make it happen. One week into our honeymoon, and I am still so over-the-moon about the flower arrangements and personal flowers which Petalena created for us! I cannot thank them enough for their amazing contribution to our wedding. Our vision of the flowers and colors, and their translation of it to reality was absolutely spot on. I have received numerous compliments. We are so lucky to have had Petalena on our team and to have worked with such fabulous professionals.

I could not recommend Julie and Apryl highly enough. They are a very talented pair. I was amazed by their ability to take some vague thoughts from someone who knows nothing about flowers or design and turn it into something that met my "vision" perfectly. My contact throughout the process was mostly with Julie, who really went so above and beyond in answering my questions, dealing with curve balls (like unexpected decor requirements from the venue) and staying within our budget. I met with Julie twice, a few months before and then again a couple of weeks before the wedding, and both times she went over every detail of the wedding with so much careful consideration - you can tell she really cares about her work and every client. In addition I emailed Julie a lot of questions since I was procuring a lot of the decor elements myself, and she was both responsive and informative. Everything turned out gorgeous!

To say that I adore Julie and Apryl of Petalena is an understatement.

With a few random parameters (a couple of specific flowers that I liked, including some fruit, wedding colors and a request for lots of different textures), they delivered literally jaw-dropping flowers. Gorgeous, memorable and not your standard run of the mill flowers. My wedding party was raving about them, my guests were raving about them, and even the serving people at our venue were raving about them and wanted permission to take some of the centerpieces home.

My bouquet was delivered right in the moment as I was counting down the final minutes before I got in my wedding dress. I was stressing over the details of the day, wondering if everything would be OK. Once I saw my bouquet, I was ecstatic. It totally surpassed my high expectations and in an odd way, it put me at ease because I knew if my bouquet looked this good, Julie and April would be doing an equally good job transforming the rest of our venue.

They provided my bouquet, a maid of honor bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnières for the groom, groomsmen, fathers, grandfather, ushers and officiant, magnetic corsages for the mothers and grandmother, a tablescape (I’m talking tree stumps, moss and orchids) for my place cards and table centerpieces. I loved how each piece was original but at the same time, matched our overall theme of colors and types of flowers/plants, which gave everything a cohesive look.

I found Julie and Apryl to be extremely responsive to all my inquiries. In addition, in both the initial meeting and the meeting we had in the month leading up to the wedding, they took the time to go over all the details and clarify my vision for the wedding. I felt like they really cared about what I wanted, and it showed in their beautiful execution of all the floral elements of the day.

I highly recommend them for a wedding or any event where you want to make a statement with flowers. Apryl was an absolute dream to work with. We only needed two bouquets and three boutonnieres, but we never felt like we were treated like a small job. I knew the types of arrangements I gravitated towards, but I didn't have much of a vision for Apryl to work from - not even a color palette. She took what little information I gave her and delivered flowers that were a perfect fit for us and beautiful beyond my wildest dreams. I was blown away by her talent and passion for flowers and she was just a joy to work with. I can't recommend Petalena highly enough.

I *loved* working with Apryl & Julie from my first contact with them. They listened to my jumbled vision of what I wanted for my wedding and didn't make me feel crazy and were also really flexible when I changed my mind about the color scheme. They were really easy and fun to work with -- and had great suggestions that matched my ideas and budget. And they totally delivered with the flowers on the day-of ... we received so many compliments on all of the arrangements. My bouquet was peony + ranunculus perfection and I loved it! Apryl & Julie are a great team -- totally wonderful and totally talented.

From the day I first spoke with Julie, I knew I wanted to hire Petalena as our florists. They were extremely flexible from day 1, including holding our meeting at a coffeeshop convenient to me because their studio is outside the city. They were one of our favorite vendors to work with throughout the entire process - always professional and responsive -- I didn't have a "vision" per se, but did have a lot of general ideas that they refined and developed to create truly breathtaking flowers for our special day. We got more compliments on our flowers than almost anything else, and what Petalena put together was way above and beyond what my husband and I had ever imagined. Julie and Apryl are creative, talented, and amazingly nice! They love what they do and it really shows. :)

Julie and Apryl of Petalena did such an exceptional job at my wedding. They really listened to my ideas and brought them to life. Their designs were not only what I wanted but a refreshing approach to flowering arranging and general presentation.

Apryl and Julie (Petalena) are a couple of flower geeks - and I say that in the best way possible. When we consulted with them we presented our vision for our wedding (tasteful, classic) and reception (bold, dramatic, modern) along with a couple of suggestions for just general looks that we thought filled that sort of vision. They immediately caught on and started tossing out suggestions to us for the types of arrangements that would fill that sort of vision, and excitedly throwing flower species names back and forth to each other. When you see how excited Apryl and Julie get over getting to use and work with different flowers you'll realize the enthusiasm and attention to detail they have over other florists. Their prices are amazingly competitive, as well.

WOW. We loved our flowers. They did a great job incorporating our colors into the bouquets and in working with our budget.

I was really happy with the outcome; I was specific with the design, colors and flowers. I gave them some creative leeway, but the product stayed within my "vision". I was very happy with their work!

Petalena took care of everything floral for my wedding day, from bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces, to table and house flowers around the wedding location. Planning was a breeze - I couldn't have asked for more enthusiasm or attentiveness! Their diligence with the details and overall aesthetic contributed a great sense of beauty to the wedding.
