In The Lens was a wonderful accent to our wedding. We had so much fun with them. They were so easy to work with and had great ideas for our photos. I also want to say that the review below (2 down) doesn't sound at all like the company we had at our wedding. Carol and her daughter were wonderful. They were so nice to all our guests and my mom laughed and had a fun time with Carol. She kept my my mom from being stressed. In fact, one of my bride's maids booked In The Lens for her wedding also. I would highly recomend them.

What wonderful service! Both of the photographers were very professional, yet fun-loving and caring. It touched my heart to see one of them crying during the ceremony! I love the pictures and the way the photos bring out the true feeling of the wedding... Excellen work!

I was unsure when my daughter told us she had booked a professional photographer for her wedding, but I was so happy she did after meeting and working with them. Very professional, great ideas and fun to work with. The prices certainly seemed very reasonable for the wonderful pictures!

At first, this photographer felt like it would be the perfect fit, we met and discussed options and what we wanted in the wedding, incl. certain shots during the ceremony. There was the chance that I was going to be gone for military training, and so in email we contacted about the possibility that we might have to move the date, though not certain. We were being kind and letting know what might happen, and that nothing was certain, and she notified us that that was fine, she would still hold the date.

A couple months later everything was still on schedule, except that she had planned another wedding on top of ours. We requested a refund, she responded that they could make it work, and our wedding package went from two photographers to a photographer and assistant (her daughter). I was less than happy, hesitant, and we met again and discussed moving to a different package, both because we had hardly any money, and were now out one photographer. I was happy that she was kind enough to meet again, and that though she doesn't usually change packages/contracts, she did so; however it was with the pretense that my wife and I had made the fault, when she booked over our date.

Come the wedding day, she had to call for an address after I had emailed it, showed up late and looked very unprepared, and to be frankly honest, as if they crawled out of bed and through clothes on. We had adjusted the packaged to have the bulk of our pictures taken before the ceremony, and these were rushed though, with rude behavior towards our families. The temparment changed during the ceremony, but the rushing around was evident afterwards as we were taking pictures of the bride and groom together. It was overall not a good expereince.

One of the things we had requested was a CD of proofs in time for our second reception in our home state, and which was granted. She said it would be in our mailbox before we got back from the honeymoon--I waited a few days after we got back before contacting her, and she hadn't sent them , either cause she lost the address or we hadn't given her one, either way she never made the effort to follow through and contact us. We got it the day of the reception, but I had no time to mill though them in order to present at our reception.

Not to mention, the pictures of our ceremony are worthless. She didn't combat lighthing issues whatsoever, and it is evidently clear that her daughter (for whom we felt bad for) may take good detail shots of the rings or license, but cannot manage a camera at a professional or semi-professional level. She was left with the bride and her party to take pictures, which are also at a lost. I can do some retouching, but as they are not RAW files fixing the lighting is hopeless.

Additionally, she never captured any of the shots we had requested, including pictures of me as I saw my bride for the first time, or highlighting our faces during the ceremony. I don't know what happened or how we are mislead, but whats done is unforatunately done.

If you have an outdoor wedding or live in state (we married in Oregon but live in Washington), I am sure would be great to go with--however our experience with her hit every fear we could have had, ones which we presented to her when we first met and she "knew exactly what we were talking about and wouldn't ever do that." Overall, a very poor and wretched experience. Rude to our families, lack of professionalism, urgent to get certain shots and thus forcing us to adjust our schedule accordingly, and we have no good shots of our ceremony.

If I could give Caryl a 6 or 7 for value and flexibility, I would. She gave us a special package to fit our meager budget, but this didn't stop her from going all out with her attention and service. A number of our guests and family members commented on how well she worked with us when we did the posed group shots. She's a casual, down to earth person who excels at putting people at ease, and we really enjoyed meeting her and working with her. At the same time, she is completely unobtrusive when she's taking candid shots.

We haven't seen all the pictures yet, but those we have seen are great. It was so nice not to have to think about who was getting shots of what, etc., because we knew it was in the capable hands of someone who truly loves their job.

We feel that In the Lens Photography provided exceptional service and understanding of all our needs and concerns.

In the Lens worked very well with me and my spouse to be on where exactly we wanted our engagements photos taken at, and what kind of poses we wanted. They have always responded to me in a timely fashion with any questions or concerns that I had. My husband and I couldn't be more happier with our wedding photos!

In the Lens did a good job with our photos. I would recommend.

First off i would like to say In the Lens was great. My husband and I had an engagement sesson with her also. We got to pick where we wanted the pictures taken. We had so much fun. The pictures turned out great. I loved everyone of them. When are big day was here i blanked out and forgot a tooth brush. I knew Caryl was on her way so i called her and asked if she could pick up one for me. Without asking why or anything she said YES and she bought me one. Just 30 mins before i walked down the aisle i walk through some dirt on the ground. The bottom of my dress now had dirt smudges on it. Of course i freaked out.... Caryl made me feel so much better when she pulled out a tide stick from her bag. After that the wedding went great. Caryl never got in the way of anything. She had a lot of flexibility. The wedding and reception went smoothly. Once our magical night was over, i was so happy. I got my email from Caryl with all of my pictures and i picked the ones i wanted and the size of the pictures. When they came in they looked GREAT!!! Caryl was a great choice for a photographer. I'm so glad i picked In The Lens Photography. I would highly recommend them. Thank You In The Lens for everything you have done for me and my husband's wedding.

In the Lens is AMAZING!!! Caryl was so creative with the pictures. There were so many options for packages. When the pictures came in they were so good. I'm so glad my husband and I picked In The Lens Photography for our wedding pictures. I plan to tell all of my friends about In The Lens and my wonderful photos I got from them.

Carol, her partner, and her daughter were AMAZING they did all the stupid things we didd not think of, like Bouteniers and the like. Carol was amazing...laid back and down to earth. She is a real refreshing vendor that I would HIGHLY recommend.

Caryl and her assistant were great! The photographs themselves were fantastic and we now have some incredible memories of our special day... but let's face it...there are many photographers out there who could have done a good job for us. In addition to the quality, what we really appreciated was how easy whe was to work with. Her flexibility, sense of humor, good eye, quick follow up and reasonable prices made our special day even better. She was so organized! No long waits after the ceremony as the group shots were taken.

In The Lens Photography did a wonderful job being flexiable for my NEW family. They also did a great job staying out of sight during the ceremony! Our photos are going to bring back all of the wonderful memories we had that day. Overall I would recommend them for everyone's wedding!

Having two photographers at my daughter's wedding was ideal. They were able to get pictures taken by being in two places at once. They were professional and discreet while taking pictures during the service.
