I was disappointed in this vendor. Kathy is highly recommended on a local weddings site, but I did not find the hype to live up to the results.

I met Kathy for a consultation and she seemed OK. I had another florist I clicked with much better, but I opted to go with Kathy because she could do the work for $100 less. I did not want to spend a lot on flowers, so that $100 was enough for me to make my decision.

My bouquet and flowers from my bridal party turned out good. My bouquet was beautiful and she incorporated my grandmother's broach as requested.

My big complaint is that the reception centerpieces were not done correctly. At the initial consultation I brought photos of submerged flowers in a cylinder vase with a floating candle on top and rocks at the bottom. Kathy said this would be no problem and I trusted it would be fine. There's a lot of examples of this style you can see online.

When I arrived at my reception, I had vases with roses in them. Not sunken, just placed in there. I learned later she never tried out the submerged flowers before hand and that was very disappointing to me, considering we met at least six months in advance to discuss what I wanted and she said it was no problem.

She provided good flowers at a very good cost, but I really think I should have been able to expect the centerpieces we discussed months ago. If she tried it in advance and discovered it was a problem, we could have agreed on an alternative together.

I have always had good experiences at Hy-Vee, so when I knew that I needed a wedding cake fast and for quite cheap, I knew that I could trust them.I highly recommend Hy-Vee for anything that anyone could need.

Everything was great. I would recommend to others.
