Based in Holy Cross, Iowa, Sprinkled Confections creates bespoke cakes and dessert tables for weddings and other special events. Owner Amy O'Conell is a self-taught baker who started out making sweet treats for her family and friends. She began her business in 2012 to share her passion for her craft with even more people.

Services Offered

Sprinkled Confections offers consultations before the big day so they can clearly understand the couple's vision for their cake. You can have a private tasting so you can explore the different flavor options and choose your favorite one. The team will handle delivery and set up so you can relax and enjoy the festivities. In addition to decadent cakes, Sprinkled Confections are able to make cupcakes, pastries, and cookies.

Perfect Cookie Cake

We were married on May 4th, 2024 and had Amy bake us our wedding desserts.

We had looked around for cake and weren't too thrilled. Out of the blue, we saw Amy's post on Instagram with her cookie cake, which really caught our eye. We are both more cookie people and knew we had to inquire. Amy provided us more tastings than we expected and everything was delicious. I especially loved the strawberry creme flavor and how soft each cupcake was. For our wedding, we chose three types of sheet cake and had the cookie cake. The cookie cake that wasn't eaten from the day actually went in our freezer. We tried it throughout the summer, and it was so delicious. We couldn't be happier with everything. Thanks, Amy!

Sweet Time with Sprinkled Confections

We loved working with Sprinkled Confections! They are very genuine to make the best wedding experience and be sure it’s exactly what the couple is looking for. For example, my husband and I wanted a sweet treat table instead of cutting a big wedding cake. Amy said absolutely, and discussed a variety of options that would be best for our guests and budget; we loved our wedding more because of it! Amy was also very communicative about the process and speedy in her responses, which was helpful living out of town. Highly recommend Sprinkled Confections!

The best wedding dessert!

We had Amy do our wedding cake plus a giant spread of desserts for our reception and it was the best decision ever!! We had a ton of cupcake flavors, multiple macaron flavors, 2 types of cookies, and brownies, plus the cake was the best I've ever had! Not only did it taste amazing but the display was beautiful and the cake matched our vision perfectly. We also appreciated the good communication and had full trust in her. Recently I asked my 8 year old cousin what her favorite part of the wedding was and she said "the dessert!" :)

2024 wedding dessert table

Amy and her team are absolutely amazing! We were so fortunate to have her work within our budget for our big day. Our wedding cake and dessert table were not only stunning but absolutely delicious—there weren’t even leftovers to take home, if that says anything! I highly recommend hiring Amy for your next event or life milestone. She’s the best!

June 2024 Wedding

We had the best experience with Amy. She was able to envision and bring to life everything we discussed with her. Our dessert spread was incredible with so many different options. Our cake was perfect and exactly what we wanted. We cannot wait to use Amy and her team again for anniversaries and our future celebrations!

Wedding 2024

You will not regret hiring Amy and her team for your special moments - wedding, birthdays, etc.!! Our wedding cake was exactly as we had envisioned it and was absolutely delicious!! Amy knew exactly what she was doing when it came to weddings - which made the process easier for us! From how much do we need, to even thinking about how it’ll get served. She covered it all. To this day, our guests still talk about our dessert spread! Everything tasted amazing. I’ve used Amy for my nieces birthday cakes and my husbands 30th birthday cake - all of which were highly complimented at the parties! Please look no further! Amy is the best!

0 stress, no drama, beautiful, amazing taste

Super nice, patient and down to earth. With all the stress of planning the wedding had literally 0 stress with Amy and her team. She handled everything. Had a complete dessert table and everyone was amazed by the variety, taste and how beautifully set up. Our actual wedding cake was the best cake I've ever tasted! I actually had people trying to eat our little Bride and Groom cake because it looked so beautiful and tasted amazing. I will only order cakes from Sprinkled Confections from now on just for how delicious it was and how well everything is taken care of.
