Our search for a wedding photographer took several interesting turns. First we met with a gentleman who – while he was very talented – didn’t seem to “get” our vision, style or interests. Then there was the woman who forgot to show up for our first appointment. When we finally met her, she talked over us, made a lot of assumptions and kept calling me Stacy (my name is Karen…). Needless to say, we couldn’t picture (pun sort of intended) either of these photographers capturing our day.
Then there was Lauren. We met her at her studio, and immediately had a really good feeling. She asked a ton of questions about our plans, made no assumptions and seemed genuinely interested in our vision. (And she never called me Stacy). Most of our meetings with other photographers lasted about a half hour, but when we met with Lauren, we were there for over two hours. By the end of the meeting we were bouncing ideas for our engagement session back and forth and it was immediately clear that she “got” us and that we had found our photographer.
Working with Lauren was amazing. When we did our engagement session, we knew we wanted something a little edgier than the typical barefoot-on-the-beach photos (not that there’s anything wrong with that). We wanted to do our shoot at night in San Francisco…kind of a vintage, urban feel. Old movie theaters, strip clubs, neon lights, etc. That night it happened to rain, which made the lighting and the photos super cool. By the end of it we were all soaked, but had such a great time that no one seemed to care. We knew that if this was any indication, our wedding photos would be phenomenal (…and they were).
Lauren really exceeded all of our expectations for a photographer. She was great about communicating throughout the entire process, had a great attention to detail, was always on time and ready to work, and was definitely a fly on the wall for the whole event. We still wonder how she captured some of the moments she did, because they were so personal yet she was so unobtrusive.
Her photojournalistic style and her unique creative vision helped to capture the feeling of our wedding day beautifully. We look forward to working with her again in the future and whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone who is looking for an amazing wedding photographer.

This photographer was awesome at my wedding!! She is a very good listener, has alot of patience and organized. She is easy to talk too and easy to work with. She captured every moment of the wedding and more. Friends and family who weren't able to come to the wedding, has said that they felt like they were there because of the pictures. I highly recommend Cohn Frankel Photography! You won't be disappointed.

We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos. I receive so many compliments on our pictures. Lauren does way more then take pictures, she turns wedding memories into art.
During the wedding she's just a fly on the wall and captured us in very sweet moments that we'll treasure forever.
Choosing Cohn-Frankel Photography for our wedding was the best vendor decision we made.

Lauren was absolutely wonderful to work with. Her style and personality were absolutely adaptable. The images that were produced were unique and wonderful -- Lauren did an absolutely perfect job for both our engagement and wedding!

Hiring this photographer was the best decision we made in the process of planning our wedding. Not only are the photos absolutely beautiful, but all of our communicaiton with Cohn-Frankel Photography was fantastic; not stressful at all. We would definitely work with them again for baby pictures, etc.
Just as a note: We did end up spending a little more than we had originally budgeted, but in the end, the product quality was well worth the price.

Lauren was excellent. She was very professional and easy to work with. She had a lot of great ideas and was willing to listen to ours. She was so transparent on the wedding day that we hardly noticed she was there. The pictures were candid and fantastic. She is a quality photographer that really captures the moment. We highly recommend her.

Some people may be weary of reviews with 5 stars in every category, but Lauren was fantastic! She was attentive to our needs and worked with us to give us the most for our budget. She surprised us with little extras here and there, which made us feel like she really values her clients and the relationship she has with them.
We booked her services over a year in advance and decided to purchase one of her wedding packages. We also ordered an album and plan on purchasing the digital negatives from our wedding.
If you're looking to capture your event, wedding or otherwise, with an experienced photojournalist, request some information. You won't be disappointed when you see how beautiful your event turned out when all of the special moments and details are captured by Lauren.

Lauren was wonderful to work with. She was responsive and caring. She was not intrusive but at the same time, she was there for us at all the right times. Whenever I asked her for help with anything, she would take care of it immediately. And above all, Lauren's photography is exceptional and we are extremely happy with our wedding photos.

Lauren is a great photographer. Being plus size I am very sensitive about having my picture taken; Lauren listened to my concerns and was very patient with me. On my wedding day she made sure I felt beautiful and comfortable for every shot. My husband and I decided on the magazine style wedding album, and two years later we still are amazed at how powerful our pictures turned out. Every time we look at our photo album, it brings up back to our special day.
