  Frank at Black Tie Photographers is passionate, amazingly talented, and a wonderful human being. I have always loved the camera and am so grateful to Frank and his team for working tirelessly to get us the most beautiful shots, from beginning to end. You will get a diverse range of pictures -- some that look like a snapshot from Gone with the Wind and some that are wonderfully candid and fun. We are thrilled!
  
  Frank is also great because he will work with and guide those -- such as my husband -- who are not as comfortable in front of the camera. My husband isn't as camera happy as I am, but Frank worked so wonderfully with him (including during the engagement shoot where you really get to know him) that my husband ended up loving the whole shoot. Frank and his team are professional, down to earth, and fun. You won't regret working with Frank!

  When my husband and I initially met with Frank, we were impressed by his professionalism and energy. Frank was very personable, immediately putting us at ease with his sense of humor and relaxed style. While viewing his portfolio, we both noticed the attention to detail that Frank took for both portraits and candid shots. We also appreciated the way Frank knew which backdrops best suited each picture. During our engagement shoot in NYC, Frank gave strong direction and had creative ideas about how to use Central Park as the perfect backdrop. Frank did an excellent job of ensuring our engagement shoot was not awkward and he accommodated both formal as well as casual photos. Additionally, he used the changing afternoon to evening light to set a variety of different moods. The day of the wedding day was perfect with Frank leading his team of photographers. They knew it was of high importance for us to get certain shots (which we had discussed beforehand) and made every effort to ensure that it happened. The team was able to spend the right amount of time with both the bridal and groom parties, capturing the pre-wedding activities, as well as beautiful moments of us and our guests during the reception. We absolutely love our photos as do our family and friends. We highly recommend Frank and his staff to anyone for any event.

  I had a wonderful time working with Frank (Black Tie). He is very experienced and extremely helpful. He gave a lot of advices for taking good pictures. Our venue place is Castle hotel & Spa, which he's very familiar with. On my wedding day, he worked extremely hard and never stopped shooting pictures. The pictures turn out great, and I'm very satisfied. Would definitely recommend him to everyone.

  Frank and his team were the perfect choice for our June 2015 wedding. The quality of the photography was amazing. Each picture was better than the next and every important moment was captured beautifully. Frank and his team were very professional. They appropriately moved things when necessary, but also kept things light and fun with their awesome personalities. Thanks for everything! We feel so lucky that we get to look at these photos for the rest of our lives!

  I am so glad I chose Black Tie Photographers for my wedding. Frank and his team were AMAZING! I have a very quiet family, while my husband has a loud, "no filter" family. Frank handled both sides with style! Both families are still talking about how amazing the Black Tie Photographers team was.   When I was searching for a wedding photographer, I was looking for someone charismatic with an artistic sense, and I found everything I was looking for in Frank. His work is thoughtful and superb, and the service he provided was above and beyond our expectations. Throughout the planning process he was available and helpful, and was totally committed to helping us get the most out of our experience. He spent a great deal of time with us in consultation and during our engagement shoot. He is easy to work with and gregarious - he and his assistants know how to really capture the event and guests without feeling intrusive. On our wedding day, he made sure that not only we were getting great shots at all the right times, but he also helped facilitate the flow of the day and ensure we were all having a great time. And the final product was spectacular - every photo (and there are a lot of them) is beautifully composed. He was well-versed in our venue (the Castle Hotel and Spa in Tarrytown, NY) and knew how to get the most out of the site and architecture. Working with Frank was an absolute delight from start to finish, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Black Tie.

  From the beginning, Derek was great. He kept email communication open and was a lot of fun to meet in person. The company truley matched us according to our style. At our reception the music was phenomenal! Our guests danced the whole night through and the next morning we received multiple complements that the dj was amazing. We had such a great time and didn't have to worry about anything. We also had an outdoor ceremony that was beautify choreographed. He blended songs well making for a perfect ceremony and was able to start the reception simultaneously! Style, class and always had a great attitude - 5 stars!

  Frank is fantastic to work with and takes beautiful pictures! Prior to the wedding he made sure that he knew exactly what types of pictures we wanted and who we wanted pictures with. The wedding day went smoothly and I never felt like he or the other photographer were intrusive at all. In fact, a lot of the time I didn't even notice them taking pictures which made it a fun surprise to see all of the candids they got after the wedding. I was really happy that he brought a partner so that I could be assured that they weren't missing out on anything. Frank is also quite the character and is a lot fun. I absolutely recommend him as a photographer, although he is a little more expensive than some other photographers, you really are getting two photographers and he works really hard to make sure you are happy with the photos and the whole experience of working with him.

  Frank Farina was the photographer at my daughter's June 2 wedding. We had a good vibe from him the moment we met. The chemistry between Frank and the bride and groom was so, so good. He's extremely talented and creative. He's extremely organized and professional and takes tremendous pride in his work. But more than that he is fun! We all had such a great time with him and his assistant photographer Laurie. Go onto his website and you will see the quality of his work. What you can't see is what a warm and caring and super fun person he is. We had a blast!!

Frank was referred to me by my colleague and knowing her impeccable taste, I knew right away that Frank must be an excellent photographer but I did not know to what extent! Frank was so patient, caring and thoughtful, as he “hand-hold” me from start to finish. He made it possible to have my wedding day unfold like a fairytale, capturing the precious moments filled with smiles, laughter, tears and the magical essence of the wedding day. Frank had a way of making me, my husband and our guests feel so comfortable and at ease and people told me how awesome he was! Even when Frank was taking countless photos of them (which could be uncomfortable and tiring), he made it fun for them. Frank is extremely personable, professional and trustworthy; his outstanding and extraordinary artistic work speaks for themselves!   Frank and Brian from Black Tie Photographers were hands down the easiest and most professional photographers to work with. They were so friendly and outgoing, it seemed as if I knew them for years even though I just met them the morning of my wedding.
  
  They made me smile without trying, made me laugh from the simplest jokes, and calmed me down when I became worried or nervous. Right before I was to walk down the aisle at 11:30, I had learned that my bus with many wedding guests hadn't arrived yet and when I asked what time it was, my sister blurted out 11:30 and Frank calmly said 11:05 and I believed him even though it was really 11:30. He was my ballast on the day that I needed one most.
  
  During our post wedding pictures, we were walking outside and it was pretty windy on the water. My veil was floating in the wind and while Frank was following us taking some shots, my veil flew off and magically, he managed to get the shot of my veil flying off of my head and almost into the water! I have no idea how he managed to get that picture, but it's just one example of Frank's phenomenal work.
  
  Other than the shots that were "posed," I had no idea that they were even there, shooting all of the special and candid moments during our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
  Frank is very witty, quick and a pleasure to work with. My husband is an extremely picky person and mentioned how impressed he was with Frank and Brian. My husband doesn't smile much, but he is smiling ear to ear in nearly every shot! I've never seen his teeth as much as I did in our wedding pictures.
  
  I would hire them again in a second for any event and give them the highest of recommendations.
  
  
  

  Frank and Brian from Black Tie Photographers were hands down the easiest and most professional photographers to work with. They were so friendly and outgoing, it seemed as if I knew them for years even though I just met them the morning of my wedding.
  
  They made me smile without trying, made me laugh from the simplest jokes, and calmed me down when I became worried or nervous. Right before I was to walk down the aisle at 11:30, I had learned that my bus with many wedding guests hadn't arrived yet and when I asked what time it was, my sister blurted out 11:30 and Frank calmly said 11:05 and I believed him even though it was really 11:30. He was my ballast on the day that I needed one most.
  
  During our post wedding pictures, we were walking outside and it was pretty windy on the water. My veil was floating in the wind and while Frank was following us taking some shots, my veil flew off and magically, he managed to get the shot of my veil flying off of my head and almost into the water! I have no idea how he managed to get that picture, but it's just one example of Frank's phenomenal work.
  
  Other than the shots that were "posed," I had no idea that they were even there, shooting all of the special and candid moments during our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
  Frank is very witty, quick and a pleasure to work with. My husband is an extremely picky person and mentioned how impressed he was with Frank and Brian. My husband doesn't smile much, but he is smiling ear to ear in nearly every shot! I've never seen his teeth as much as I did in our wedding pictures.
  
  I would hire them again in a second for any event and give them the highest of recommendations.

  Genuine, thoughtful, professional and sincere are just a few words that come to mind when I think of the work that Black Tie (Frank Farina) provided for patients at our health care facility. Frank gracioulsy offered his photography skills to almost 200 patients in our facility. He gave up 2 days of his time to photograph patients whom which some have never had a professional self portrait of themselves. The excitement and sounds of joy when each patient received 2 prints (some had more), framed of themselves was similar to that of a child on Christmas morning! The patients were so thankful and appreciative of the gift Frank gave to them at no cost to them. It was truly an amazing experience none of us will forget.

  Our photography was amazing. Frank and his team did a wonderful job. My husband and I couldn't be any happier. We have gotten so many compliments on all of our photos and its great to have such wonderful momentums of our special day! My family and I keep looking back at the photos and smiling. We definitely would recommend Frank and his team for any event that you want gorgeous pictures :)

  Frank Farina is simply the best. Not only did he make us feel comfortable and magical on our special day, but the pictures he produced are marvelous. I can't stop looking at them. My husband is not someone who is super comfortable posing for pictures, or someone who likes the idea of being in the spotlight. Frank got him to crack some smiles and made him feel at ease- to the point where my husband was actually getting into it. Frank was able to capture us in some very natural stances that look like us-- and not like two people posing for the camera. Frank was great with everyone- parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and especially the little ones running around. We will treasure our Frank Farina photos from our engagement shots and from our wedding for the rest of our lives. Thank you Frank!!

The bridal party and the guests also enjoyed themselves while he was taking the photos -- he is lots of fun. Frank does the physical settings justice as well. As the mother of the bride, I cannot recommend him highly enough.
