From my first interaction with David over email, I knew that he was the person to take photographs for my wedding. When evaluating who I wanted as a photographer, there were 2 criteria that had to be met: creativity and customer service. He exceeded both! His creative eye is amazing---just take a look at the photos on his website. He also has several books at his studio that he can show you. The work is fantastic. I was thrilled with the pictures he took of our wedding. The are stunning.
Because I work full time and had a limited timeline when planning the wedding, customer service was also extremely important to me. David was the most responsive vendor I dealt with. He always called/emailed me back within 24 hours, answered all of my questions completely, and showed the utmost professionalism. Being incustomer service myself, I feel very comfortable saying that you won't find a more professional photographer in the Bay Area.

I travelled to San Francisco from Scotland in September this year to get married at city hall.

We made all the arrangements via the internet and looked at a lot of
photographers. I really liked David Zhangs photos from Bayphoto Net Photography.

I contacted him and David contacted me straight away,we were quoted an excellent price. David stayed in contact with us before the wedding and we arranged to meet on the day.

I was a little nervous about the photos, as we had never met David before the day. I had nothing to worry about, David was lovely, very professional and made me and my husband feel at ease, as we both dont like getting our photos taken.

We had a fun couple of hours and it passed very quickly, David worked very hard and took a lot of photos. At some points we even forgot he was there, and those photos turned out to be great.

We are now home, and David emailed us the photos quickly. I love them, they are fantastic and I couldn't fault them.

David was our 3rd photographer we interviewed and after meeting him and seeing his work, we just couldn't go elsewhere. I was particularly impressed with the amount of time he took at our engagement session. He has a great eye for lighting. He is very going and was very patient with my husband and I who both absolutely hate posing for pictures. One thing that I really liked about a lot of our pictures is, although we had clearly posed for a lot of them, somehow he made them look very natural/spontaneous.

We had a wonderful wedding and I am glad that it could all be captured at all the right moments. The quality of work was the best I have seen and will continue future business. Thanks again for everything you have done for us.

We booked David to be our wedding photographer after meeting with four other vendors. After reviewing his sample portfolio and meeting with him, we knew that he was the best choice. His pictures are gorgeous, with beautiful colors almost more vibrant than real life. In addition, he's extremely easy to work with, very polite, professional, flexible, and extremely responsive to email (frequently within minutes to hours). He offers an online gallery of his photos as well as full resolution digital proofs, has a wide selection of album options, and offers very reasonable print options. He was also very helpful in terms of general wedding planning (since we planned our own wedding), going over our schedule to make sure it was reasonable and also giving me referrals for makeup/hair artists (the one I selected, who he recommended, did a beautiful job).

We did our engagement shoot with him at Stanford and were extremely happy with the results - all of the pictures came out beautifully and he was really easy to work with, starting from scheduling the shoot (and working with us to reschedule it several times due to weather) to arriving early to scope things out, to selecting really amazing backgrounds, some of which were unbelievably gorgeous. We were especially impressed with his handling of different lighting conditions, as our engagement shoot started in the afternoon and ran through the evening as it slowly became dark.

After we got the engagement proofs, I knew that we had absolutely nothing to worry about on the day of the wedding. David showed up on time and managed to get all of the traditional photos (dress, rings, shoes, getting ready, etc.) done during the chaos of guests arriving and mingling. He did a beautiful job of capturing the ceremony, handled formal shots with friends and family well, and also took really cute photos of us and our wedding party at Hakone Gardens, where we went after the ceremony. He continued capturing lovely indoor photos at the Cypress Hotel, where we stopped to check in, before continuing on to our reception at a restaurant. He even stayed longer than we had booked him for during the reception because he wanted to capture our cake cutting.

The best part was when we got the wedding slide show from him after the wedding. For every wedding he chooses a selection of photos for a slide show that he sets to music, and for us this slide show really captured the essence of all of the major events during the day. I felt like I was reliving it in gorgeous detail. We're planning to order a wedding album and parental albums from him and I know they will be beautiful as well. For anyone who's looking for a wedding photographer who will really go above and beyond, I highly recommend David.

David was great... our pictures turned out really nice and he's fun to work with. He did both our E-session and wedding and we were really delighted with the pictures from both.

He's willing to work with you and around your schedule. We changed dates 2 times for our E-session due to the bad weather in San Francisco and he was so flexible.
