I used Alea for our engagement shoot in New York City. She (and her husband) were so great to work with, AND I'd hang out with them even if we weren't conducting business! My fiance and I never had our photographs taken, so she was patient with us in giving direction and guiding us through the process. She had some very unique ideas that my fiance and I weren't sure about (i.e., standing in the middle of a pedestrian crossing and kissing while cars went by), but we trusted, and we did it, and it was entirely worth it! Highly recommend.

I am so lucky to have discovered Alea through a rather serendipitous route as one of my bridesmaids has a friend who is a wedding photographer! She was unavailable to shoot my wedding, but she referred me to Alea Lovely, since they were friends on an online forum for female wedding photographers who shoot in film. I learned that not all photographers have this skill, in fact the majority shoot in digital only, so ask around. Alea was amazingly able to capture *light and love* in our photos, in the spaces between those all those posed photos family members want! Alea herself has a sparkling and warm personality, she is smart and professional (she is able to reign in family that won't stay in one spot), and she is absolutely passionate about what she does. Her second shooter was also a lovely lady. In fact, we loved her so much (and I think the feeling was mutual), that she shot our second destination wedding in Tulum, Mexico on 10/14/12, with her hubby as second shooter! Everyone who has seen our photos as commented on the quality of her work and her vision, and the entire wedding party loved having her as part of the company. In fact, her work is earning us a spot in a national bridal magazine in the near future! We were also featured on a popular online wedding blog! Trust me, she will do an amazing job! My husband and I LOVED all of our photos we got from Alea. We got them while we were on our honeymoon still, and were so shocked they were ready well before we even got back to see them! We loved every moment, every memory. Alea and her second photographer were amazing and so much fun during our wedding day. They made us feel so comfortable and the photos look so gorgeous.

The wedding venue itself was gorgeous, but the surrounding area didn't have a ton of super pretty areas because it was in the middle of a really old neighborhood and Alea found perfect places to take photos of us. We love our photos more than we can describe, Alea's absolutely hands down the best out there!

Alea and her assistant were absolutely awesome! They were both so flexbile and fun to have capture our wedding day. We were so thrilled with how beautiful the engagement photos turned out and the wedding pictures were stunning. It was great getting to have all the photos so we could choose how we wanted to print/display them. This week alone we had two people request her information based on our love story video. We had many guests tell us that by watching the video they felt like they were able to get to know the other person (ie. If they knew the groom but not the bride they felt like they knew the bride from the video). Her work is beautiful and the best value in town. I highly recommend her for any life events you want documented!

Alea Lovely was so great to work with! She came to the house promptly the morning of the wedding and was a delight to shoot with. Her husband was her second shooter for the day and got along well with my groom and his groomsmen. They were awesome during the ceremony; my husband and I didn't even notice that they were taking pictures while we were getting married! The last thing you want as a bride is to be distracted by pictures while you're trying to concentrate on your husband, and I didn't even realize they were there. They were very professional and organized, and I'd recommend Alea Lovely to anyone!

Alea came highly recommended by family friends, and we were so lucky to have her photograph our wedding. In discussing our wedding with married friends two couples shared that they wished they would have hired a videographer rather than depending on home videos. We took their advice and invested in Alea's services. Having received our highlight video we can say that we are ecstatic with our investment. This video and the full video to come will be cherished items in our family for decades. Alea has an uncanny ability to capture the details and moments that matter most to a couple and then frame them in a movie in a stellar way. She is very professional leading up to the wedding and will respond to inquiries quickly. She and her assistant are very easy to work with on the wedding day. They definitely do not add to the stress of the day as some vendors do. This vendor is a sound investment. The wedding video is something that can be shaky, blurry and blah or something that can capture the entire essence of the day. You can't go back to capture the day after it is over and once you have Alea's version of it you'll be so happy you chose her to capture it for you.

Alea is simply amazing. Her work speaks for itself, but she is even better once you meet her and get to know how much she cares about you and making your video beautiful. She is recommended by me and all my family and friends who have watched our "highlight" video. I get compliments everyday-- over a month after our wedding :)
