Do you have liability insurance?
No
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Color, Sepia Toning, High Contrast Black and Whites. If I do any special treatment to a photo I always leave the original edited color copy as well.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Any and All.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I prefer Digital. But I was technically schooled in film.
How many photographers do you work with?
Me, Myself and I. I do have backup photographers in case I can't make it on your big day. I also use an assistant at larger weddings. This person is usually a photography student.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Absolutely!
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No Way! I try to book only one wedding a weekend.
Occasionally I will book 2 weddings in a weekend. This usually only occurs when I have 2 shorter weddings to shoot.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes!
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
All Professional Canon Equipment.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
I bring a back up for each piece of equipment I own.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Mostly Full Day. I do figure out my packages based on an hourly rate though.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
You may choose to add an hour or two or three. If this is the case, I charge per extra hour.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I'm at your becking call all day! I do enjoy sitting down with your guests to enjoy a meal and would love if you provided this for me!
Do you charge for travel?
I do charge a small amount if the wedding is over an hour away from Lansing, MI.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
4-8 weeks
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Thumbnails and a High Resolution DVD as well as website viewing.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Forever! Seriously. I keep your photos on multiple hard drives and on discs just in case.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I share the copyright with each of my couples.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. If you wish to not be published or blogged you may state that in the contract.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Definitely. This is the #1 requested item by brides. How could I not share?!
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yep. It's completely secure with a code so only those you share this information with are able to view the photos. You also can order prints directly from your proofing area!
What kind of albums do you offer?
High Quality Flushmount Albums, Magazine Style Albums, Coffee Table Books and Matted Albums.
When will the client get the final album?
Usually it takes anywhere from 1-4 months.
