Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I do my own mix of sepia tone and we offer a fearlessness to getting the shot.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have been shooting for 16 years so I have seen it all. Each lighting situation has its' up sides. Direct light when used correctly can be ethereal. I do go to the wedding location before the day to check out any lighting issues.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I do love digital. It gives an amazing amount of freedom.
How many photographers do you work with?
I work with two. I always have my second and I have an assistant.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes. I only accept two weddings a month. You are my only client on your day.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No. I want to focus on my client.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, things happen and I always want a plan B. When I was apprenticing as the wedding photographer I worked with, his back gave out in the middle of the reception. I knew I would always have a backup.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Each of us (all three) bring two camera bodies, a wide variety of l series lenses, reflectors, and many batteries.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Do you charge hourly or full day?
This depends on the package.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes I charge standard portrait rate.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I usually take one for meals and any other breaks are staggered with my second.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes if going beyond 50 miles of San Mateo.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
I usually have something ready in 48 hours.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Studio viewing and an email movie.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes if the couple is willing.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
I would like to but I would never pressure.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, as archive copies.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes
What kind of albums do you offer?
Coffee table, matted, the variety is amazing and I have access to all of them.
When will the client get the final album?
Within four weeks of your final approval of the album design.
