Operating from Los Angeles, Meg approaches event photography with a classically creative eye. With years of documentary and fine art photography experience, Meg feels, “An intense need to portray more about a person than meets the eye which creates this urge to know everything about a person, to know something maybe they don't.” Her subjects often serve as still life; the visual intricacies of their person become the composition, texture and narrative of the portrait unbeknownst to the subject. Meg says she, "want[s] to create images that challenge the conceived notion of what wedding photography is. I want to make it look and more importantly feel like art." Her passion for all things photography enables not only the most dynamic documentation of your most significant events but also allows her to meet and form bonds with so many wonderful people. When asked how her fine art background affects her ability to capture real life moments, Meg smiles. "Of course I keep reality in mind when I’m shooting, but I think that's really the heart of what I try to do, to- find the art in the reality." Meg is attempting to document the suggestion of all that makes us human, all that makes us family.
