Life's Joyful Expressions

Life’s Joyful Expressions believes in not just the quality of the photography but also the quality of service.  We believe that you as the bride and groom are hiring a photographer to record your wonderful day ~ so we believe you should have all of your photographs.  We provide in every package all digital files for printing wherever you would like.  You own the copyrights! We can also create the wedding album of your dream.  We use GraphiStudios for the most professional albums that can be created.  Visit our site or contact us for more information.

 

How would you identify your photographic style? A blend of traditional formals and photojournalistic.

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning? Whatever you request ..let's be creative together.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations? A variety, however what makes Life's Joyful Expressions a bit unique is that we bring portable studio lighting to give all those beautiful formals and special pictures that extra pop. It's subtle but it makes such a difference. Night time settings are never a problem and are often dramatic with just the right lighting!

Is your media preference film or digital? Digital.

How many photographers do you work with? 2 others.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event? Yes. Once a deposit has been received, your day is booked and I am there. All day. All night. I stay until you leave!

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend? No.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day? Yes. I have multiple backups to pull from.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of? I bring my main camera and a variety of lenses. I also bring backup equipment (extra cameras, lenses, lighting, controllers, etc). There is never a need for you to worry.

Do you charge hourly or full day? My rate is for the entire day.

If hourly, are you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you charge for overtime? No worries about this - there is no overtime. We are there until you tell us to leave.

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal? I usually require a meal for myself and my second shooter. We never take a break during the main action. We eat in between events.

How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day? Well, everybody has to tinkle right?

Do you charge for travel? Not unless it's a couple hours drive or staying overnight.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing? Typically 2 weeks all pictures are corrected and burned to DVD. I give the bride and groom the option to view the proofs online or to wait until the dvd's arrive. Proof books are usually ready within a week of that.

In what format are the initial proofs offered? With every package are all the digital files with thumbnails provided to faster browsing. In the album package (or it can be purchased as an add-on) is a proof book with usually 9 pictures to a page. The proof books run around 150-200 pages.

How long can the couple keep the proofs? Forever.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos? Yes, so I can use them for my blog or website. But the couple also retains copyrights.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos? Yes.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple? Yes.

Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery? Yes

What kind of albums do you offer? GraphiStudio or ZookBinders Wedding Albums; Proof Albums with ALL photos.

When will I get the final book? Varies; With input from the bride and groom things can always get sped up.

Additional Questions and Answers
Additional policies of Life's Joyful Expressions include - if your wedding is scheduled during the outside wedding months, if it rains and we can't do the formals for the bride and groom..we will shoot those formals on a different day at no charge to the couple.  It's just another small way of saying thanks for choosing Life's Joyful Expressions.
