Established in 1999, Kluge Estate Winery and Vineyard aspires to be one of the East Coast’s most prestigious wineries. Helmed by Patricia Kluge, the winery is tucked into Carter’s Mountain on the edge of the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains in Charlottesville, Virginia. Kluge’s 2,000-acres are just miles from the birthplace of American viticulture, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello

Kluge Estate offers venues for exceptional events. Whether it is a wedding, corporate retreat, shower, rehearsal dinner or business presentation, our events team will work with you to create a memorable occasion.

Are there any special characteristics about this venue such as scenery or architecture? Kluge Estate is situated on 2000 private acres, but is only 15 minutes from downtown Charlottesville. We have multiple venues on the Estate property for your event - contact us to schedule a private tour.

How many people does the space *comfortably* accommodate? We can accomodate intimate affairs and large galas - whatever your event, just ask us and we'll do our best to accomodate your request.

How does your venue determine the cost of the space? We charge a flat rate for use of our spaces.

Do you provide your own catering? If yes, can a bride opt to use an outside caterer if she prefers? We do not provide on-site catering, but have a fabulous preferred vendor list that we'd be happy to give you.

Can the bride provide her own alcohol if desired? We require brides and grooms to serve only Kluge wines, but they may contribute other alcoholic beverages if they so choose.

What restrictions are there (if any) on music? We encourage you to book a band or a dj - music enhances every gathering! We'd be happy to provide you with a preferred vendor list.

Do you offer security, if requested? Security is present at each and every event.

Describe your bathroom facilities: Our Vineyard Ballroom is equipped with restrooms for you and your guests.
