I have worked in a wide range of lighting conditions, from dark churches and outdoor nighttime receptions to bright, sunny beach ceremonies, including backlit situations.

How many photographers do you work with?
All wedding packages include Kate and a second shooter.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, once a contract and retainer are received, the wedding date is secured. I shoot all the weddings that I book.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No, I prefer to give couples the flexibility to request additional hours of coverage on their wedding day or during the wedding weekend, so I only book one wedding per weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, I have several photographer colleagues who are available in an emergency.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I shoot with Canon's line of digital SLR cameras, and typically have three bodies and a variety of lenses with me on the big day. I also have back-up equipment for critical pieces.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, it's imperative for wedding photographers to have back-up equipment so that if one piece malfunctions, another is readily available.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Packages are by the hour, per the needs of my clients.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes, overtime is available at the standard hourly rate.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I typically do not take breaks other than during the meal. However, on 8+ hour days, I may take a small break if there is a lull in the action.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes, travel beyond 50 miles from home may incur mileage, hotel and other travel expenses, as needed.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
An online gallery is available for viewing 4-6 weeks after the event.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
An online gallery is available for viewing within 6 weeks of the event. Clients may also purchase proofs, if desired.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, I retain copyright to the images, but I provide clients with a DVD of high-resolution digital negatives and reprint rights for personal use.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, I reserve the right to publish the photos except on personal websites, blogs and social media outlets.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, I provide a DVD of high-resolution digital negatives to my couples.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer a wide variety of albums, including matted, flush mount, coffee table books and combination (matted/flush mount) albums.
When will the client get the final album?
Each manufacturer has a different timeline for delivering an album, so that's hard to say. Album design also involves the client and so the turnaround time will also depend on the client's prompt approval of the album for production. Albums can take between 3-6 months, on average.
