Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I prefer to let the images shine! Each image provided to the client undergoes individual basic processing including color balancing, tonal adjustments, cropping, etc. Some processing techniques come and go like many trends, and while popular now, I want the processing of your images to stand the test of time and look as beautiful in 50 years as they do today. I do artistically process a small portion of the images including specialty toning and texture overlays.
Is your media preference film or digital?
My wedding photography is 100% digital. I do love certain aspects of film photography though and still have a film camera for personal use!
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Signing a contract with JoNa Photography guarantees that Jennifer Dery will be the person providing you with personalized wedding coverage on your wedding day.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I only book one wedding per weekend.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely! I bring back-up camera bodies, lenses, flashes, batteries, memory cards, even a spare pair of eye-glasses!
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
None, with the exception of the meal break.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Images are ready for viewing approximately 4-6 weeks after the event. I don't believe in sacrificing quality for speed. Each image you receive is individually processed. If I anticipate the turn-around time to exceed 6 weeks, the client will be notified in advance and will be kept up-to-date on the status of the images on a regular basis until they are complete. Typically an online "sneak peek" of a selection of highlight images is presented within a week after the event.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Services that include proofs are provided as unmarked 4x6 inch lustre prints.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Services that include proofs as part of the package are yours to keep.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, the photographer retains copyright to the images, but wedding clients are given reproduction rights to make prints from the digital files for their personal use.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. Special circumstances or requests by the client not to publish the images are respected.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Edited high-resolution digital files provided on DVD with all wedding services.
