I unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with Nestlé Photos, and I feel it’s important to share my experience so other brides can make an informed decision.
Before my wedding, communication was extremely poor. I was rarely contacted unless I reached out first, and when I did reach out, the responses were often very short and my questions were not fully answered. I repeatedly tried to get clarification and make sure everything was in place for our wedding day.
About a week before my wedding, the owner finally discovered that the photographer I had specifically wanted and believed was booked for my wedding was never actually booked. Because this was discovered so close to the wedding, I was left with the only photographer who was available. I understand that mistakes happen, but this was a major issue that should have been caught much earlier.
Our photographer was very personable and pleasant to work with, but unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the final photos. Many of our photos were taken directly in the sun, leaving people squinting and making the lighting very harsh. There were also many opportunities to improve the photos by simply moving us or adjusting where we were standing, but that did not happen. For something as important and permanent as wedding photography, I expected much more attention to lighting, positioning, and composition.
The editing process was also frustrating. I was told my photos would be rushed because of the mistake with our photographer, yet it still took a significant amount of time to receive them. When we finally received them, there were still things that I expected to have been corrected during editing, including telephone poles and other distracting objects visible in the backgrounds.
Photography was one of the areas of our wedding that I intentionally chose to spend extra money on because these are the memories we will have forever. That makes this experience especially disappointing. I can’t go back and recreate our wedding day or take these photos again.
I very rarely leave negative reviews, and I am not writing this to be spiteful. I am sharing it because I genuinely don’t want another bride to feel the way I do when looking back at her wedding photos.
Overall, my experience involved poor communication, a significant booking/organization issue, disappointing editing, and photos that did not meet the expectations I had for such an important investment. I truly wish my experience had been different.
