How do you
identify your primary photographic style?
My primary style is truly a hybrid approach to journalistic and traditional methods. |
Which lighting
situations do you have experience with?
I am comfortable in all lighting situations and take great pride in being able to use a variety of techniques to make the light work to our advantage. |

media preference?
I only shoot digital! |
How many
photographers do you work with?
I work with an assistant and/or a second photographer for all weddings. |
Do you
guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, I guarantee that I will be the photographer for your wedding. I do not hire out your precious day to another photographer. |
Do you
sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?
I never book more than one wedding a day. |
What kind of
equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring a variety of lenses, flashes and for those occasions where I can setup studio lighting, I will bring multiple strobes, reflectors and modifiers. I always bring at least two cameras. |
Do you bring
back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely! I will always have a minimum of two camera bodies and typically travel with 5 different lenses that can be used for a variety of situations. |
Do you charge
hourly or full day?
All packages are based on blocks of time ranging from 6 hours to unlimited coverage. |
If hourly, are
you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you
charge for overtime?
I am available for overtime in the event the wedding party has not booked an unlimited coverage package. The charge for overtime will start at $200 per hour for the first hour and then will go to $150 for any additional hours. |
Do you require
a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party
provide your meal?
Yes. A meal is required for myself and an assistant. |
How many breaks
do you usually take throughout the day?
I get so caught up in photographing the event that I rarely take breaks but have been known to take a couple of minutes while guests enjoy their reception dinner, cocktail reception, etc. |
Do you charge
for travel?
Within the Grand Rapids or Traverse City area I do not charge for travel. For any events further than 50 miles from GR or TC I will work with you to determine a travel charge. |

the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Generally online proofs will be available within 10 days of the wedding. |

are the initial proofs offered?
All packages come with online proofing. |
How long can
the couple keep the proofs?
Online viewing of your proofs is available for three weeks from the date of initial posting online. If you are on an extended honeymoon (and I certainly hope you are!!) then we can be flexible with the dates. Select packages that have printed proof books will also include a 3 week window. |
