Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I went to school for fine art photography where we work with several different mediums of photography. There are so many things that you can do with photography I couldn't even begin to list them. Please feel free to ask if there's something paticular you have in mind!
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have worked with several different types of lighting. Again I was trained to photograph without the use of flash so through school we were required to use whatever lighting we had to make a beautiful image.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I love film for fine art shooting but I prefer Digital for Wedding and portraits
How many photographers do you work with?
I have others photographer that I trust on call but for the most part I work alone
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
I guarantee I will work from sunrise till sunset to make sure to capture every moment of your special day in the most unobtrusive yet productive manner I can
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Never, If I do more than one wedding a weekend, one is usually only a second photographer position with another studio. When I am reponsible for the whole wedding and editing I only like to do one per weekend.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring two cameras, several lenses....basically a bag full of goodies and then some!
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
I couldn't imagine not have two or more of everything
Do you charge hourly or full day?
full day
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Other than a dinner break, none....there always something going on during a wedding.
Do you charge for travel?
Not within the state of Michigan
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
6-8 weeks, but I try to post a preview on my blog of five pics or so within two weeks
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Online gallery
How long can the client keep the proofs?
If they are on the online gallery its 90 days, hard copies and CD's last longer.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, but I do have an option for an additional charge if they want to buy the copyright
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, but what bride wouldn't want everyone to see how beautiful they were!
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
They receive a low res CD for emailing. High Res images can be bought at an additional charge if it is not already in cluded in the pades
Will images be available for viewing online?
yes
