Aja Stephan has been taking photographs of people, places, and events for over fifteen years.  In photographing weddings and other special events, she captures people in their natural expressions and interactions.  Words that come to mind when looking at her images, are intimacy and creativity.  Aja Stephan works in digital, but her education was in black and white film photography, and her images carry that same quality and timelessness.

Aja Stephan Photography believes that the process and experience of having one's photograph taken is almost as important as the final print.  Photographs should evoke memories of authentic life, not staged settings.  With formal training at New York University and Maine College of Art, she has been focusing on black and white photojournalism that captures one of a kind moments.  Wedding photography allows Aja to be witness to one of the most special days in people's lives, and that is priceless.
