Traditionally, the bride's parents used to host the whole wedding and foot the bill. This tradition has gone by the wayside in recent years and more couples are paying for their own weddings.

    My parents are paying for the venue, catering and my dress. We are paying for the photographer, DJ and anything else. My FFIL is paying for the rehearsal dinner and 2-3 kegs of beer for the wedding.

    My husband and I paid for everything except my parents insisted on paying for the rehearsal dinner (because that’s the only thing we hadn’t paid for in advance). 😊

    My parents are paying for our caterer and flowers (they're the same vendor) and my FH and I are paying for the rest (for the most part). My FH's parents are traditionally paying for the rehearsal dinner and the alcohol!

    Our parents are each contributing an equal amount, and we are covering whatever is more than that budget. My parents are paying for my dress and accessories, and we are paying for the honeymoon ourselves.
