who picks out the wedding bands?

I have no clue. We're going together and paying out of the wedding fund, which is joint funds.

I'm sure there's an ettiquette rule, and I'm sure I'm breaking it... Oh well...

You should do what you feel comfortable doing, first off. If your FH is super excited about getting a wedding band and he can't wait to pick it out, then let him pick it out. If he couldn't care less about jewelry, then keep his tastes in mind and pick something out for him. As for paying for it, I think the bride is technically supposed to pay for it, but if finances don't allow, there's nothing wrong with using a joint account.

We used our joint account and picked them out together and paid for them out of our budget. I picked something I like and vise versa.

Well as far as my ring, I chose both the ring and wedding band and I was going to let him choose his ring but then his mom asked me if I would like him to have his father's ring since his dad just passed away last year so I was touched and said "yes".

I picked out my e-ring and wedding band so FS got to pick out his own band. We paid for it with our wedding fund.

We also picked ours together. We went online and got an idea of what we wanted and then to the store! I love my ring and I can't wait to purchase and wear it! hehe

I picked mine, and he picked his, they are being paid for out of our joint account, and money we receive at our engagement party in a couple weeks

I picked mine up while on a family cruise to the Bahamas since the diamonds were so cheap. He picked his out on his own (and did a great job) We run a home business together and it has been so busy that we really aren't able to go out and do things together until after business hours or else we would have gone together to pick them both out. They were not in the wedding budget and paid for out of our joint account.

I had input on my e-ring and band, he showed me a few he liked and I chose from there. It's definitely what YOU want to do as are most rules now. Oh, and I paid for his and he paid for mine. We have a wedding fund jointly but the rings were paid for individually, mostly because we keep our household finances separate for the most part

i went wit him to pick out my e ring and it came with the wedding ring so i knew what i was going to have. i say do what is best for te both of you.

My DH bought and paid for our bands. He doesn't wear his though. 1- its to small (he has ginormous hands he needs a 14 and most stores only sell up to a 12.) and 2- he works with power tools all the time and I don't want him cutting off any didgets. He will wear it when we go out or to family functions, bu usually it ends up in my purse within an hour. So even if you pick it for him, make sure it fits.

Honestly, I don't think it matters! I would lean towards picking them out together so you are both pleased with the outcome and sizing. Do what feels right for the two of you!

We picked them out together, it was really easy if I do say so myself, my ring is part of a set and he is getting a slightly darker silvery tungsten for his (he also works outside in the elements, and putting bags in planes, etc) and he wanted one that he didn't need to worry about taking off every day he went to work.

I showed my FH a few different styles, different metals, etc and he told me which ones he liked and didn't like --- so I found a seller on etsy (titaniumknights) that made a style he likes AND it is out of titanium AND it was only $40.00 which is awesome b/c FH tends to loose things. I told him when we have real jobs, and make real money I'll buy him one that is gold or platinum.
