When you first start planning your wedding, there are two major questions to answer: when and where are you going to tie the knot? For some people the wedding date is the most important decision (whether it’s a date with special significance or the only date everyone is available), other couples wait to see their dream venue’s availability and then set the date!

Which decision came first for you? Your wedding date or your venue?

We had a list of potential dates that we narrowed down. We booked our venue before having the date for the most part. There wasn't one date that stood out.

Definitely makes the process a little less stressful hah! It is a vintage hotel (not a working hotel anymore) from the 20's. It has a lot of natural decorations, so we are going to try and minimally decorate. How about you?

We went to check out some venues and fell in love with one. We chatted with the person in charge of events and weddings that day and chose our date based on the dates they had available.

We chose the date first. Mostly because we really wanted our wedding to be on our anniversary.

We knew what time of year we wanted to get married, that's far as the specific date, it came Down to the availability of the venue.

LOL, that is a perfectly fine reason, Tanya! I've heard a lot of people doing that so that they only have to remember the one anniversary date!

That is the exact reason why we chose that date. Well, it was his one requirement for the wedding.

We had a date in mind shortly after making some bad jokes about dates, and it's on a Monday and some venues are cheaper on weekdays Smiley xd
