Where did your guy get dressed on the wedding day?

LadyHopkins, on August 30, 2012 at 5:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 26

Yeah, my sweet hubby decided to tell me the truth today. He waited until the last minute to do all of his wedding day duties and didn't have time to drive back home and ended up getting dressed where?!? The bathroom at the Exxon! Really! That's what you get for procrastinating, smdh.

LOL that will make for some great stories though Smiley smile

Our venue is an hour away from home and we will be getting to the venue 2 hours early to get ready, there are bridal and groom suites for getting ready in so it will probably be there. The groomsman room has poker and pool tables since they won't take as long to get ready, lucky bastards Smiley xd

    That's hilarious!!

I kept asking H where he was going to get ready and he was like, "Why do I have to get ready somewhere?" Finally I was like, "WHERE ARE YOU PLANNING TO WAKE UP AND PUT ON YOUR PANTS?" and he was like, "Oh! IDK, wherever I crash that night. I don't need to "get ready", I'll just put on my pants and meet the guys in a cafeteria or something." Errrr, a cafeteria? You mean like the MCL? You need to get some pudding before the big day?

    lol.

He got ready in the hotel room he shared with his brother (BM) and his girlfirend the night before. I stayed in the Bridal suite alone right across the hall. I have no idea why we got the same floor. But somehow we still managed to "miss" each other every time and didn't see each other till the Wedding.

His mom who said she was gonna take lots and lots of pictures of the guys getting ready ended up getting to the hotel late and snapping one shot of Dh standing on the balcony of the hotel room. I was a bit disappointed but oh well. he was dressed and waiting for me, that's all that matters.

We got married in town, just a jop, skip and jump from home, so he got dressed at home (long after I left, of course-- again, men have it EASY!) and then came in his tux.

    That's hilarious!

I don't know where we'll get ready at. I'm leaning at me at home, and him, in someones hotel room. Lol. We're getting married at a county park so there's really no place to get ready there.

We stayed in the same hotel room the night before since our wedding was out of state. We did a bit of shuffling the morning of.

I was to be getting ready in our room. He was going to get ready in my parent's room with my dad (and possibly my brother... his brother who was the best man was staying at his parents house with his wife and kids). However my dress was hanging in my parents room. So DH had to go to the room my MOH and her boyfriend were staying it. We had to move the dress from my parent's room to our room. Once it was moved, he went to my parents room to get ready. Our dog was also shuffled from room to room as he spent some time with me as I got ready and then went over to "get ready" (had to get dressed up in his bow tie haha) with the boys.

Thankfully we were all on the same floor so it wasn't too annoying to have to keep shuffling around.

DH got dressed at our house. He was working on our getaway car up until a couple of hours before the wedding. I spent the night at a local hotel with my BFF who flew in from England for the wedding. We did all of our wedding errands (hair, MU, etc.) during the next day, and then I got dressed at my sister's house because that's where my dress had been hiding since I picked it up from the store.

We had the honeymoon suite booked for 3 nights (Friday, Sat & Sunday), so DH went there after the rehearsal Friday night, stayed the night and then got ready in the room Saturday morning with his groomsmen and ring bearer.

Omg, kris and lady hopkins you brought tears to my eyes! Men, huh?

my groom wants to make quite a day of it... and I told him that I am getting ready at the venue, so he has to pick somewhere else! I DO NOT want to see him until the aisle. He wants to get a limo and drive around picking up his groomsmen and drinking... like bread crumbs? It reminds me of hansel and gretel meets jersey shore! I have decided not to care what happens before, as long as he is there when the she-bang is suppose to start, for my sanity's sake

We got married at a riverfront gazebo so there was no where to get ready before the ceremony except at home!

We showered together the morning of the ceremony (we always do, it saves water, TMI?), I put my make-up on and did my own hair and then my brother came and picked me up and took me to my moms house so I could put my dress, veil, shoes, etc. on. My DH got ready at our house. He basically had to button his shirt and put his pants and suit coat on by the time I left.

We were supposed to all follow each other to the ceremony (in different cars) but that didn't work out well since I was supposed to hold on to the marriage license and I forgot it at my moms so we had to turn around and get it and my sister almost left my DHs ring at my moms! Luckily we realized before we made it too far.

We will be staying in the same room together in Reno and FH is the ONLY one that can tie my corset that I will be wearing under my dress, sooooooo we will be getting dressed together.....LOL The only thing that I will be doing without him that morning is my daughter and I will be going to get my hair done, so he will have little of time to go do something without me - maybe an hour or so but that's going to be about it. Then I'll need him to tie me into that corset - which he LOVES to do :-)

I'll be staying with my MOH and bridesmaids at my MOH's house. And he will be staying at home. He will get into his pants and shirt there and bring his jacket and meet the groomsmen at the venue. I will be running around all morning and then getting dressed at the venue. Since it is a public garden we don't actually have the facility until an hour before wedding time, but the coordinator said that we can come in a little early to get dressed since the prep room is not public, then when it closes at 5, we can take the tram to do our photos and stuff.
