What are you wearing to your rehearsal dinner?

Amanda, on April 21, 2010 at 1:59 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

So, with the wedding 4 months away and all of the big things locked up I've started thinking about what to wear to my rehearsal dinner. It's a small party at an Italian restaurant. I've seen a lot of times bride-to-be's in white the night before which I really like, but then I was thinking maybe a fun purple dress, because I love purple and it's one of my wedding colors... decisions decisions... what are you wearing to yours?

I want to wear a wedding dress in ivory. If I can just get someone to make it for me: Photobucket

    Clothes...

Seriously we're doing really casual (having outside ceremony). So may be a nice pair of shorts and sparkly tank top. (end of June)

Wait,,, I should wear white to the rehearsal? I was going to have my mom's wedding dress altered to a more modern style and wear that. It's pink. Should I be rethinking this idea?

Ksively - wear what you want and what is comfy for you. Some gals go with white.... some go in jeans and t-shirt...

@kshively- there is no rule saying you have to wear white to the rehearsal...you can wear whatever you want! I actually wasn't planning on wearing white but I happened to fall in love with a white dress. A friend of mine got married a couple years ago and she wore bright turquoise! I think that modifying your mothers wedding dress is so sweet and special!!! you should definitely stick with that Smiley smile

KShivley I think the idea of wearing your mom's dress is beautiful.... you don't have to wear any color... I was just wondering what people were doing... I've been to a few where the girls have worn white but I've been to others wear they were in colors and prints and whatever they wanted!

Mrs. Jo I love the purple shoes! I'm actually wearing Kate Spade Christa purple shoes on my wedding and I love them! I can't wait to wear them!

Kelly your dress is soo pretty!

I love that dress Mrs. Joseph!

We are having a simple BBQ so I'm not planning on being in anything too formal.. probably a pair of cute jeans and a white tank top or something

I'd like to look nice but be super comfy since we will be setting up. I'm not sure. Maybe a summer dress and flip flops.

I think a cute purple dress would be perfect.

We had a pretty informal rehearsal dinner at a mexican restaurant. I wore a long dress, but it was a casual one.

It depends on how crazy the rest of the day is. I may wear a dress, or I may wear jeans and my "Bride" t-shirt.

I like the "bride" t-shirt idea. Of course for us, it would be "Bride #1" and "Bride #2" LOL

My sparkley pink flip flops with my favorite black sundress and lucky bra. These are my comforst clothes and I think I will need them with both sets of FH parents and mine in the same room for the first time EVER. 13 years and they have never all been together for a reason.
